I doubt they will ever try to take away our right to own guns completely, it would cause an armed uprising.
They will just keep adding more and more restrictions until it's damn near impossible to own one legally, (and they are in the process now) but they will do it very slowly over time.
It's the "boiling frog syndrome."
If you throw a frog into boiling water it'll struggle and try to escape, but if you put the frog into room temperature water and slowly increase the heat, it'll just sit there and cook to death.

According to our president the constitution is just a “G D” piece of paper. Me myself I am more concerned about those who is governing us, more than any communist country......

How many "restrictions"?

As a Canadian citizen I can only speak on behalf of my country. Canada has already moved toward the scenario ashamedamerican mentioned above. The firearm registry wasn't popular with the people, and wasted a LOT of taxpayer money, but I suspect it was the first step. Maybe a way to get the issue out there. And now the media attacks gun owners non-stop by trying to connect every random shooting to the average gun owner. The subsequent trials allow the media to talk endlessly about the danger of guns, and what should be done. But how can anyone think that the criminals who use guns aren't going to get them even if there were more restrictions? Why would criminals register their guns? It doesn't make sense, especially since Canada has very few gun-related deaths.

Of course, we don't have a Constitutionally guaranteed right to possess guns, so I feel we may be screwed in the end. I hope you Americans are well-armed, because it looks like they're trying to regulate guns in your country now. And some people must be aware, since gun sales skyrocketed after Obama was elected.

The end result of stripping away our right to have guns will only create an entirely new black market and expand on exsisting black markets with guns and then they would have a very huge problem that would make current gun problems look like a day at disney land.

Cheers!!!!

If anyone thinks the "Million Man March" on Washington was something, let them try an organized attempt to take our firearms away.

While the leftist pinkos have a total majority in Congress, a lot of these Dems come from states that will not tolerate a ban on weapons, or even making it difficult. They know that eventually they'll have to come home.

Southern states, Pennsylvania, and many midwestern states love the newfound freedom since we got rid of that damned Brady Bill.

Even if restated, think. Those who manufacture 30-round mags and such are burning the midnight oil.

Folks are getting a bit upset. You can jack with folks during good times, as they're in a good mood, but when people are already pissed off, as now, you don't go jacking around with pissed-off people, screwing them over some more.

This won't happen. Not for a long time if ever.

Right now they have bigger fish to fry.
