Nick Pope talks frankly and seriously with BBC news anchors who treat the subject seriously as well. A stark difference from this side of the pond.
When they ask if they(the UFOs) are a threat, they ask with genuine interest.

And Mr. Pope is just so obviously tickled to be "the British Fox Mulder", it's just adorable.

It was an interesting video. Nothing exciting or concrete, unfortunately.

It's not so much the content. It's not that at all. It's the way the subject is being treated. I believe the British PTB are leading the way for disclosure as a prelude to the U.S. PTB making their disclosure

And I'm sure it's being orchestrated jointly by the two countries

...thanks for the link...I found this interesting!
Have been looking into the archives myself recently....
especially...the Rendlesham case.

Hope to see more of Nick Pope speaking out!

The Rendlesham Forest incident to me is the most compelling case to date. Sgt. Jim Penniston walked around the UFO, sketched it (accompanied by to other army personnel), and then walked up and touched it! It doesn't get any better than that.

it's a good sign that they all didn't laugh and show pictures of little green fake aliens and 1950's movie style flying saucers. step in the right direction that for sure.

Excellent point and I apologize for my negativity. The British are, in my opinion, leading the way to full disclosure and I'm a mixture of jealous and grateful. lol

LOL You're right about that. God love Larry King...but those silly graphics on his serious minded UFO shows...well, really!

But again, that's just another example of how the PTB on this side of the Atlantic aren't quite ready to have us take the subject too seriously yet.

Well, maybe they're not so much the leader but the guinea pig.You know, try it out on them first.

And there went my jealousy.

Someone had to go first so at least it was a country that still kinda likes us.

And now, of course, they have their UFO ambassador to the world...Robbie Williams. And Robbie Williams is a member of ATS...hmm.

Great post! It's reassuring to see news anchors taking the subject seriously. Some of the popular American news channels have brought up the subject in the past, but the anchors always kind of smirked and chuckled about it, and then there was just a little narration about some sighting. This BBC newscast actually had the anchors themselves asking serious questions, and a warning bar up on the screen, and everything.

Sometimes I wonder if there is no conspiracy at all, and the government is just as clueless as the rest of us. Maybe those in the government just haven't taken it seriously enough to try looking into it since the failed investigations fifty years ago. There's definitely something going on, and the dam is bursting... soon enough the public will start to really demand answers!

lol, yeah... I've seen "Tornado Warning," "Thunderstorm Warning," "Yellow Alert"... but this has to be the first time in my life I've ever seen a "UFO Warning!" On the one hand, I wonder if it's really a good idea to buy into the fear factor with suggestions of "hostile intent." But at the same time, maybe that's the only way to get people to start waking up and realizing that something bigger is going on around us.

The MOD show record sightings so that as any UFO is a possible threat tour our airspace. I think britain's size makes it easier to maintain security of its airspace as america for example is a lot bloomin bigger, 911 would have to be a prime example.

I think the various militaries can't stand knowing that they(UFOs) blatantly violate the Earth's airspace and they don't yet have the technology to stop them. By planting a seed of uncertainty in our minds they make it more likely for us to go along with them developing expensive and potentially devastating defense systems.

Well...911, don't go there. This is a conspiracy theory forum after all. You know... the inside job and all.
And it doesn't appear any nation...big or small, is able to maintain security of it's airspace.

Good thread MSP

i've already seen that video previously but it was a good report from Mr. Pope and it sure is amazing to hear somebody like him on Tv talking about this subject.

he always brings up the Rendlesham Forest case when i see him speak and i understand why. that was one of the biggest cases in UFO history and when i hear the tape recording that Charles Halt made during the event it really freaks me out
reminds me of when i had my close encounter.

anyways good to see you interested in this and i think Nick would make a good spokes person for a New Disclosure Project.

I agree on the issue on UK airspace. But instantly something else came to mind... all of the vast surveillance camera systems they have. Now if you start adding things together, it makes me wonder where it may go from here...?

Typically, they live in much closer proximity to each other than average Americans. I would guess them a bit more ethnically diverse, far less conservative politically, & perhaps on average a bit younger by population ratio. There are less church going folk now than ever. Anyone with better stats and information that may help put the blocks of this puzzle together, please feel free. My submissions may be off a bit as well. (It's been 30 years since I was last there, but love the people & land.)

I'm in agreement also that perhaps they & the French are moving towards disclosure much faster than the USA. Every direction one turns it would seem to be logical. But there are a lot of untested waters yet to have toes dipped into. I honestly believe the USA is hard-standing & balking because of some sort of military secret that is possessed or is perceived to possess.

There was a secret meeting held some months ago in N.E. USA, attended by UN Military liaison officials. It was specifically concerning UFOs & disclosure. Those in attendance & their respective positions on the subject were:

1. USA. Pro-disclosure.
2. UK. Pro. Recommended USA lead the effort.[dis-info maybe?]
3. France. Pro. Ditto.
4. Germany. Negative. Hostile.
5. Saudi Arabia & Arabic nations. Negative. Hostile.
6. India. Completely impossible to deal with.
7. China. Neither pro/neg. Wanted USA to pay for disclosure.

Now I am wondering if the US "economic doomsday clock" was activated simply to thwart our part of disclosure. The Chinese are lending the USA shiploads of money, so Beijing really is in a win-win situation. Now the world economy is spiraling out as well. I simply figure that finance, politics, power, sociology, psychology, & perhaps peanut butter & jam may be all mixed together in all of this. LOL
(might as well try at least).
