Well..

I was surfing the web in my usual manner, when i happened across I-dose.com

It promised me out of body experiences, dream states, high's that rival coke and ecstacy...you get the point...

here is their site... www.i-doser.com...

So me being me, I rapidshare this puppy and get the full version with ALL the brainwave soundtracks...let's not say more about that

So what this basically is, is a Binaural Brainwave simulator that tunes into or changes your brainwaves to make you experience all these "things"

So i Try Ecstacy first...5 minutes down the line my body feels like it's vibrating and is a bit tingly and shaky...i really didn't expect that to happen...

It is a 30 minute track of weird sounds that you play through your headphones...and honestly...im not so sure about this..

i think this stuff can mess with your brain quite a bit..

i tried a few different ones, and once i stopped i felt rather different, kinda out of it and "not there" if you know what i mean.

Anyone else have any experience with this, know of any complications that could come up ?

What's your thoughts on this...

here is more info on it..

I have heard of people getting strange side effects from this, maybe you would be better off not trying it again until you know EXACTLY how it works.

ie does it actually cause the release of serotonin and dopamine or just trick your brain into thinking it has?

Because, tbh, I would rather take the substances that do than have sound waves messing with my head to the point that I would actually feel that f@cked up.

Still though, Ill probably try it some night

This kind of technology plays different frequencies in each headphone which combine to form the intended frequency. Our brains have a funny way of copying what they are aware of, and often times will begin to create this frequency on its own after playing the binaural beats for awhile. It's really very simple and yet interesting how basic the process is, and how life-changing the results can be.

It's definitely something you don't want to take lightly. This kind of technology is basically a shortcut to meditation and it is very useful for that.

I tried it a few years ago... The marijuana one seemed to work, and there is also one that is suppose to make you orgasm. You'll definately know if that one works.

I've heard of this several times before, and I've always been a bit skeptical.

I'm fairly convinced, while recognizing that sound can affect brain patterns, that this is a case of your mind doing what you want it to.

If you go into this type of thing believing that it will work and actively seeking to experience something, odds are you will. On the other hand, if you go in skeptical and thinking nothing will happen, it probably wont.

Who knows though.

I use the brainwave generator, and wow. I think it just takes some getting used to. It lets you make your own tracks as well so you can adjust and play with different frequencies, also it has a calibration track, that helps you 'tune' the brainwave generator tracks to your preference. I think it helps to have some experience with regular meditation, or even better those harder more difficult trips, so when your mind is being folded like origami and molded into shapes that seem like they hurt or make you disappear, "you" will be beyond the suffering and fear of it, and rather, receiving the information you entered in order to extract. But if it seems like its just wrong, then simply dont do it. Find a different approach. Also I think there is an epilepsy warning on brain entrainment software audio and devices.

I've never seen any evidence it actually works.

I tried it briefly but never got any highs from it. After a friend was worried I would end up with mental health issues and asked me to stop using them.. I agreed. I stopped using them, deleted the files.

I must have listened to that album 100's of times and I've never felt high after it (unless I've...you know), uplifted maybe, although sometimes it put me in a more serious (kind of mentally stronger) mood due to the album's nature. Might your water supply be tainted instead?

I tried those binaural sounds and they just didn't do anything for me. If people feel anything it's probably a placebo effect, you're half expecting a response and so you're suddenly on high alert waiting for something to happen, with your senses hightened due to this anticipation you start to notice things that are usually there that you don't usually notice, the imagination will also be heightened which can really play with your mind. I think I've just pursuaded myself to have another go at it.

Has anyone tried the 'l.e.d light' version of this? If so, how was it?

After seeing this on the news tonight I decided to try it for myself. I don't doubt the possibility that sound can affect our brainwaves to trick us into thinking that we are high. However, when I tried it I felt nothing. It was quite dumb. I just don't think anyone has figured out how to mimic drugs with sound.

hehe. I`ve tried I-dose a couple of times, and as posted above, i too felt "something"..
But that was only when I knew what I was expecting.

I ran a little test.
1. I would see and choose the sound\trip myself
2. My buddy would choose one for me.(i dind`t know which one of course)

What happend was that I would feel "something" when i knew what was coming, and nothing at all when my buddy selected one..

I tried the Ketamine trip couse the description was awsome :p But i didn`t get what i was "promised" :\
My buddy selected cannabis for me, and that didn`t work at all.
It may be different for others, but that`s my experience.
