They have been freezing people in Russia with snow, in order to do major surgeries, for years. They literally pack the patient in snow, to lower the
body temperature, to a state of near death. Then they can do their surgeres without anesthetic or other drugs which are unavailable.
Nice article; I probably have been in the dark about this stuff. It is amazing some of the things that can be done. I sometimes feel they sneak new or
reinvented things out into the media every once and a while; maybe not to shock everyone at once?
