As much as many would agree that there are obvious double-standards in life, and this is only one example, this example is frowned upon at ATS.

ATS = delicate on denying ignorance in the direction of Israel.

That's a shame. Why does ATS do that? I've been coming here since 04, even before I joined up officially, but I've rarely if ever posted besides in the past couple of months. So I'd like to know why ATS doesn't deny ignorance when it comes to Israel?

If he would have said "what do you think he is, a janitor?" then it would have been a figure of speech. This was disrespect to ARABS.

It would be extremely naive to assume that there is no racism in the world, and especially between warring people, i.e. the Jews and the Palestinians/Arabs/Muslims. Yeah, these examples are not very respectful, but I know there are equal or worse examples of racism by Palestinians.

I feel we should not judge Rahm Emanuel by the words of his father or other Jews, just in case this is the direction we are heading.

I read a piece at the weekend about this very issue and dual nationality. Nobody else gets to hold dual US / ??? nationality. It's US nationality or nothing, except for Israelis.
Now, it has been argued that since Israel counts every Jew as being Israeli and will issue them a passport, this means nothing. whilst I have no problem with someone holding dual nationality, it should bar them from holding high public office. You cannot serve two masters so allegiance will always be called into question. There is a very long list of dual American / Israelis who occupy senior government positions, but no dual American / Mexicans or American / Germans etc. When you then look at the US stance on vetoing any UN resolution against Israel or US media portrayal of Israel versus Palestinians etc, you can see the immediate bias and the reason that bias exists.

It is interesting that Israeli nationals or dual citizens are allowed to work in such high positions. In recent years the Military Industrial Complex has made it really tough for Israelis to get jobs there, as there is such a high incidence of espionage by Israelis. They spy on the USA the most of any ally, and even more than most enemies.

This isn't a new problem either, if you listen to the Nixon tapes, he speaks of the same worries many times.

It is to be expected of Russia/China to run these kind of ops within the USA, but the Israelis are supposed to be allies, it's disgusting.

That's not true... Arnold Schwarzenegger for example is still a citizen of Austria as well as a citizen of the United States and governor of Cailfornia.
