Let them go to jail and confinement at that.

If the laws were in my hand, I'd castrate all but one, the youngest. Like what Pershing did to terrorists. There's no difference here though. That one will certainly provide enough experiences to stop his friends from anything.

Dumping them away isn't going to solve much except delay things a bit, there are many others like them walking about.

There needs to be something that gives them a chance to change for the better.

They all need something more than locking them away and forgetting about them, they need guidance and they need help to learn about self respect etc.

It might not work, but these kids went wrong somewhere and something needs to be done.

I know these types of people, family problems, weak minded, need to hang around in groups to feel better, to feel part of something, picking on individuals, they are scared, so they feel safe being on the bad side, and not the side where they can get picked on. It's pretty pathetic.

Poor girl. Even thou I said what I said above, I really want to beat the crap out of them, dammit, if she was related to me, I don't know what I would do.

As horrible as this news item is, it is this thread that has made me feel sick to my stomach.

Thats really crazy when I was 14 that thought wouldn't even had entered into my mind with all these liberal laws kids think they can get away with everything,when I was about 14,if you mouthed off to an adult or bigger kid would usually result in getting your ass kicked,now if you spank your kid CPS is at the door,and as for those kids let them spend a few years behind bars with adult prisoners,then they can see what the girl felt like when they happen to take a shower,and have 6 large lifers come join him

It would help if the school administrators would actually punish the kids... When I was teaching, I had a student throw a keyboard at me... the student should of gone to alternative school for attempted assault on a teacher, but the principal decided that 1 day of in-school suspension would be enough because the keyboard didn't hit me...

After that, my classroom was unruly... the kids knew that they could get away with things.

BTW when a judge orders a pre-sentence report they usually will comply with whatever the agent recommends; be it jail, probation and/or a combination of both.
However, it's not clear if these teens will be tried as adults or juveniles as this will impact the recommendations made to the courts.
I know this from experience in having supervised adults in the past.

They do absolutely nothing to correct any behaviours or thought patterns of their prisoners.

It has been mentioned in this thread already but i blame the parents for an obvious lack of consistent and measured discipline. Some might say that this has nothing to do with it and outside influences are as much to blame, i disagree.

For me its all about discipline and by that i dont mean canes, leather belts and attic lock ups! Just good old fashioned teachings of right and wrong. I believe that the majority of parents still successfully bring up acceptably behaved, polite and well mannered children using their own upbringing as a template. Of course atitudes towards everyday life are always changing and modifications in these teachings will be necessary.

People have referred to those raised from a poor background often become troublemakers and rogues having no respect for themselves or society in general and unfortunatley i have to agree. It just seems that the majority of people (not all) from poor backgrounds have been raised and taught that its ok to steal from others or speak to others in a disrespectful way and these people i think are more likely to deteriorate into a more pronounced state of socially unacceptable behaviour.

I’ll be the first to admit my reaction would be wrong if this happened to my child. The amount of violence and gore that has been mentioned in this thread or the story about what the two 10 year olds did to the 3 year old would not come close to what I myself would do to the criminals involved.

I will admit I am a sick man when it comes to the revenge I would take out for my family being hurt or killed. By the time it was done many on here would be calling for my execution as well. Not a movie or video game has been made that could touch what I would bring forth on them.


These kids, and yes they are kids, should never be allowed on the streets again. If it takes life in prison or death it needs to be done. They have lost their rights to be among a society that does still have empathy for others (though at times I think it is fading). They gave up their rights to be a part of the human race when they allowed themselves to do what they did against another unprovoked (and I do not count disrespect as an excuse). These boys should be punished publicly so that others who might think about such things can see what normal society things of such actions. Or possibly they could hand them over to some of the people on the board so that real justice can take place.


To those saying let’s see what happened to them to make them do this, get over it. There are plenty of people out there that lived a terrible childhood and they are not out harming others in society. There are many who were beaten or worse that have become active members of society without hurting others. These boys have no hope and should be treated as the trash they are.

Justice in this country is atrocious and sentencing is even worse.Why? Because the prisons are full and the police are under staffed.Most minor crimes are not even bothered with because its totally pointless,the police know that it won't go anywhere in court so they can't be bothered with the paperwork.(same with some major cases,like rape)And a new thing that pisses me off.If you confess you'll immediatly receive a lesser sentence!!

Send all nine of them to Singapore and get lashed. I know its corporal punishment, but 2 lashes each for them. And they will get the message. Better yet hire the guy here who get trained to lash/whip the people in Singapore and bring him here to our juvenile houses/ prisons. I bet that would work. Yeah it hurts like hell, and they will always have scar to remind themselves to be good.

If an infant can potty-train in under two years, I would have no sympathy for these degenerate youths. Life would be a lenient sentence.

Maybe the parents should be taken into custody as well. The fruit doesn't fall far from the tree.

As a father, I absolutely know the boys and their parents would pay dearly, outside of the courts, had my daughter been defiled so.
