The Bali Bombers are probably not dead

So the media is telling us that Indonesia has executed the 2002 Bali Bombers. So what?

It has been proven, in their cases alone, the corruption in the Indonesian legal and prison systems. The bombers bribed their way to internet access and meetings with wives, not to mention the guards idolization of the 'celebrities' they were guarding.

So what is stopping the bombers bribing their way out of the firing squad?

There has been no proof given by the Indonesian government that the executions took place, they have simply said they did.

And conveniently, the Muslim tradition dictates that the bodies have to be wrapped in cloth and buried within 24 hours. So any evidence that it did take place will be buried, literally.

My bet is that the bombers bribed the government to take them out to the firing area (which was nice and close to their home town and huge support base), and simply let them go. Fire a few shots at empty posts for flair and report to the Australian media that the bombers are dead.
