THREE Bali bombers have been executed by firing squad on their prison island in Indonesia, according to television station TV One.
Islamic militants Mukhlas, his younger brother Amrozi, and Imam Samudra were put to death for their lead roles in the 2002 Bali nightclub bombings.

The attacks killed 202 people, including 88 Australians.

Hundreds more were injured when bombs tore through the crowded Sari Club and nearby Paddy's Bar on October 12, 2002.

The bombers were put to death on Nusakambangan Island in Central Java. The island is home to the prison where they spent their last years.

These men deserved death.
Even during the trial they were smiling, laughing and chanting '' god is great '' to the judges who were sentancing them for the deaths of 202 people.

you just cant reason with these people.

Its disgusting that it took 6 long yrs for these people to be executed.

But it did show the logic behind their whole martyr complex.

On one hand, they said they welcomed death as it was paradise for them, on the other they were lodging appeals left right and centre, even trying in the final days to convince the court an execution by bullet was torture.

It was obvious these men were going to be put to death on a sunday morning, because that leaves 6-7 days until the nightclubs and hotspots are packed with foreigners again. that gives the authorities 6 days to find who ever is planning revenge ,keeping in mind 2 devices were found last week.

I agree, Indonesia is a hotbed, its the largest muslim nation on earth, and has remote regions where there's no rule.
Its a paradise, but its a risk. I surely wont be going back.

this should have been carried out in silence. Giving these cowards one last article in the global news was far too good for them.

anybody who focuses on religion to this extent needs to be examined by a shrink.

the church has been the cause of more deaths than anything in the world. Wiping out local belief systems to better control people. Paganism for example. Look up the origin of the word pagan and the meaning given to it by the church.

How often do you watch the MSM news and wonder why the hell any Aussies would bother travelling outside our own country?

kind of makes you wish the Commonwealth was still the main global power it once was.

But i'm glad i don't have to live with the fact that justice was somehow done by killing a bunch of guys.
Beeing from a country where the death penalty doesn't excist i cannot understand this way of thinking but i guess to each his own.
Personally i would have loved to have seen these people be put to work washing pigs or something else. Killing them wasn't a punishment for these guys.

I always liked the idea of life long punishments like that for sick people. Preferably where you could go and watch them suffer too. It'd be a tourism boosted!!!!
