Armed forces are now appearing in churches so that there wouldn't be a terror attack. This is how the big brother state starts. They start with the small things then expand till the whole society is under Big Brother

OMG (:lol
umm.. you are absolutely right. Can you think of a greater blasphemy?

Great way to show your faith in God eh? and where exactly are they finding peace in carrying firearms?

Are we supposed to conduct our own personal cold wars. staving eachother off with the threat of mutually putting bullets in eachothers head?

Sometimes there is just no match for Christianity.

NWO? Nope. These are simply church groups changing their tune and not acting arrogant to the point expecting nothing like recent shootings to occur. Rather I consider it a part of their right to do this for their own protection rather than waiting for BigBrother to get there. The Bill of Rights comes to mind.
These are private volunteer guards from the congregation, not paid mercenaries. Nor are they government sponsored either.

Get your facts straight before you go and knock on paranoia's door.

So that makes it less disturbing? Sorry fella, but not to me... As a matter of fact, it bothers me even more that so-called "God's people" are escalating what I view as an already out of control religious fill in the blank

I would not like armed guards watching over my shoulder during church (if I actually went to church). How someone can worship/connect spiritually while armed men/women are standing around is beyond me.

Hmmmmmmm..........I always wondered why Billy Graham would need to surround his compound with fences and guards. Doesn't he have the faith in God that he says we all should?

In a mega-church, a crazy man with a gun could kill LOTS of people. Let's look at the article as to WHY these people made the choice to have security.
Not that MY pastor would ever do it, but, in a church of THOUSANDS, they should have medical
provisions AND security.
It has nothing to do with the NWO, except that crazy people would target churches.

Last Saturday, a minister was fatally shot and another man wounded outside of a church in Kentucky where the men went to attend a funeral...................
Highview also has a medical team on the grounds during weekend services, when thousands of people pass through its doors....................
"We realized that, as the largest Baptist church in Kentucky, we'd be a little naïve to think something would never happen to us," said Highview Pastor Randy Record, who is also a police officer. "We're catching up in an era of terrorism and a church is no different."

Jeff Petersen, a pastor at Lincoln Berean (in Nebraska), said the church began considering armed security members after a gunman in Colorado last year killed four people and wounded five at two churches. In that case, a volunteer security officer with law enforcement experience fired on the gunman and stopped the attack, according to authorities. The gunman later died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.

If this is called on by the congregations then it is their right to freedom and should not be disrespected. Many Churches have been getting psycos shooting them up in the past few years, it is horrible and something you would expect in a third world country, but not here where freedom of religion and worship is guaranteed by our constitution.

Perhaps some of the terror threats have been made towards our churches? I love my family and they are all church goers, I would never want to see harm come their way while at services.

"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." ~ Ben Franklin

I don't care if there's psychos going around doing dumb things. A church doesn't need security.

What's next kindergarten security? cutting grass on your own lawn security? Mall bathroom security? Before you know it they'll be EVERYWHERE and then you can't escape Big Brother.

This is not paranoia its fact, and it's sad to see dumb people accept these sorts of behaviors for a little bit of safety.

One should never underestimate peoples' stupidity.

Churches have been targets. Some have had gunmen come in.
People have been murdered in churches and some are threatened.
But according to you they 'don't need security?
So they should just sit there and let their people get murdered?

Freak'n brilliant.

One should never underestimate peoples' stupidity.

Yes. Thank you for showing us this, personally.

FACT is that this world is dangerous. There are whacks everywhere.
When people feel threatened in the USA they have a RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS to protect themselves and their families.

Actually after the Zionists are intending to destroy Christianity, it's better if they're defending these holy buildings from the demon lovers. What do you think, only the Synagogues can be protected with weapons as the Jews are always doing? Uh-uh. Christians are going to defend themselves. If it would be an NWO operation, the CNN wouldn't tell you this at all. They're telling this via the media, because it's crossing their plan greatly. Oh, man. We love to cross the Zionist plans day by day and they hate us for it. Well. The greater they hate us, the better we're doing our resistance. Keep up the good work gentlemen! Keep up the good work!

While I will not visit a church no matter what, I have to agree that if the Church congregation is happy with members taking their personal guns to church that is their prerogative.

After all we are living in dangerous times.

My husband has license to carry a gun and he takes his everywhere, not different from people taking their own personal guns to church with the Pastors blessing.

Firearms are not allowed in lots of facilities and properties across the land. Colleges and universities, government buildings, churches, grade and high schools.
These are just the few that come to mind quickly. I think they are even gun free zones as well.

Where do a criminal target for his shooting spree, so there is little to no risk of him being hurt or killed?
A location where firearms are outlawed. Church, school, university.
But not a Government building because they have hired security officers there. Paid by taxes.
A church has only its own internal resources to pay for security, where a school could use taxpayer monies to hire security.
If a church member has proficiency with a firearm that is logical and intelligent that they could be called upon to bring their gun to services, just in case.

And as concerning the poster who felt that they could not attend church knowing someone there had a firearm, in a war zone, (Iraq) all of the church going service members carried their weapon to church.

Well, while I don't entirely agree with this move. I do think that given that some people are very, very anti-religious, it's understandable. On the other hand, given the fact that we are amidst a religious war, "war on terrorism," it's also understandable as to why anti-religious feelings are so fervent.

Lol you people are so dumb.

Yeah let us be safe from some crazy psycho that doesn't even exist, so we carry guns to "place of worship".

It is people like you that are getting us in the NWO.

I could see it now military people busting into your houses and you say it's ok because they are trying to rescue you from some psycho who are going around.

God have mercy on us...

maybe just maybe, the religous leaders should tone down the rhetoric and stop being so political. go back to the days where everybody could quietly go and seek comfort in their spiritual lives, and like minded people in a place of worship

if the religous people are going to get into the business and personal lives of other people, and publicly go after people, that do not agree with their religous leanings, i don't see why they think they are immune from the repercussions. violence is always bad, no matter where it comes from, but these religous people need to realize that they are the ones inciting this type of behavior.

honestly when I first read the title a while ago I thought "whatever...."

On my way home yesterday I passed several churches...one a United: Security Guard out front...bright yellow coat and all. I thought...hmmm.

Then passed the Jewish "church"...same deal but X 2 guards.

Passed the Kabalistic church a few blocks down...Security guard.

WTH? I know the real $$ is in Religion...but security guards???

Or has personal faith become such a target by the "outsiders" to that faith , that Security is required?

On another note it should be noted that many churches offer goods and services to people in great need...maybe that's why the security is needed. In the event of riff raff.

Dunno but I thought it a bit unusual...first time I've noticed it.
