A pastor from Texas named Steve Foss claims to be prophesying about the election. According to him, Barack Obama will be the most ungodly President ever. This is the link to his prophecy:

I want to hear your thoughts on this.

My thoughts? Hmmm...let's see...

First of all, God is going to be PISSED that he took the time to share the future with this slimy excuse for a human being and he didn't tell anyone until AFTER the events happened.

Secondly, he is just like all of the other charlatans that prey upon the simple minded and gullible. Anyone who gives him more than a passing thought should immediately admit themselves to the nearest hospital for observation.

Sounds like typical Charasmatic preacher bull.

It's absolutely vague. He's left himself the convenient opportunity to come back and say "See? Told you so!"

He does not point to one specific thing that Obama will do to be "ungodly."

Neither are his predictions for Bush's terms specific--or evenverifyable.

So I call crap.

But sadly, his flock will probably beleive him.

I don't buy it either. It seems a lot of ministers deem themselves worthy of receiving top secret information from God. After being raised in multiple Christian churches throughout the years, I am quite sick of listening to their spewing. At the same time, I don't support Obama or have a good outlook on the future of this country, but I think religious people sometimes take their "messages from God" a little too far. I've seen too much crap in churches to believe anything they say anymore.

Pastor Foss has a right to his opinions...but as far as I could tell from what he wrote, it sounded to me like he was trying to "sell" more snake oil in the same manner that Obama uses his catch phrase "Yes, We Can".

Mix religion and politics and you get one deadly poison.

It's possible he got some of his opinions from that, but I don't know about an entire "prophecy". I think Obama is so full of crapshaith. Whether or not he is a Christian, I honestly don't care. The fact that he is totally lying about it, though, is pretty annoying. Here's a video of him slipping up and saying "...my muslim faith..." The interviewer "corrects" him saying, "You're Christian faith..." The video is eleven seconds long. Check it out.

hmm...8 years of Bush presidency saw unprecedented wealth created? millionaires created from selling real estates ??

now if those money werent created out of thin air, wouldnt we be able to avoid the economy collapse? sorry to say, i wouldn't be going wow!! that is alotsa millionaires..

these millionaires as claimed by Foss with his statement make their millions from real estate business..aren't these people making money out of thin air? and those who had made their monies will not suffer as much as any average joe the plumber will do..

and to give credit to Bush for 8 years of wealth creation..and blame Obama for anything else is not going to help..

for what i know 8 years of Bush administration, i can only hear War! oil / barrel went up so high that it cost me 2.2 / litre of petrol in my country, which use to be 1.2 /litre

8 years of Bush administration i can only hear more telephone surveillance is implemented on the US citizen

When i was 13 yrs old, Bush senior was the president of US and i hear let's attack Iraq (well that is justified, as Iraq went on offensive against Kuwait) but 10 years down the road, why Iraq again????

perhaps i am oblivious to the sentiments of people living in US. but i think the people living in US is also oblivious of the sentiments of people living outside of US.

I have not seen US presidential election followed so closely around the world as this election. you be surprise how many citizen of the world supports Obama. well i am not saying that he will be a great president or worst, only time will tell.

what i am trying to say is, the citizen of the world see prove of Democracy lives! when Obama elected as the president. in my country, a chinese born malaysian will never be a Prime Minister for the fact that he is chinese. US election 2008 will show to my country that hey! it is time to change, We are all Malaysians not chinese, malays, indians. We are all born here in Malaysia.

At least in my opinion.

What i post now might invited flaming but i am going to post this anyway.

I hear alot of bashing on socialism system, that Americas is on the way to become a socialist country. it is sometime sad to see how things is judge.

i've had a conversation with one of my good friend, who is an american living here in malaysia. the sentiments i hear is that if Obama is elected, Americas will be a socialist country, that american will loose their rights especially the right to raise arms.

i also hear that if Obama wins, all the jobless, criminals will get welfare support from the money that is taxed on all the hardworking americans, i fully agree 110% that there is alotsa american who is hardworking, i worked with some of the best american colleague in my course of work. i learn alot from them too.

In any countries in the world, there bound to be parasites who ride on the system for free, taking free meals, free monies for not working when they are able to. we see it in America, I see it in Malaysia and anywhere in the world.

but it is sad to read that some of my fellow ATSer is comparing America to countries that ends with 'stan'. eg Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan

guys, don't you think that is the wrong comparison ?? you see, there are leaders of countries in the world who uses religion, socialism, communism, capitalism to gain more for their own wealth than to really for the greater good of their fellow countrymen.

why not compare to countries like Sweden ? their social system works fine, at least to me, they pay high taxes in return but all of their public transport systems is efficient and of course you see that there is freeloader too that ride on system to really take monies without working.
BUT there is also cases where there is large layoffs by the big companies that they work for, not to the poor guy's own choice but at least for the period of time he is out of job, he is knows that if he fall sick, he can go to any hospital and he will be taken care of and i know a swedish guy for a long time and i had a chance to pay him a visit back in the year 2006 when i went to stockholm for a holiday and guess what happen to him? a few days after i left stockholm to return to malaysia, he was diagnose with a tumour in the head. immediately he went into the public hospital and got treated took him quite sometime to recover but he recovered.

and i think to myself, if the same thing would happen to me here in Malaysia. i dont think i will get the same quality health care in Malaysia..well though Malaysia is consider a capitalist market (a free market so to speak) but guess what, if you don't have the money you wont get quality health care.

the screw up part for what i see here is that, in such system, the rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer. why ? because there are people who uses such system to earn fast money without doing work too..if you have some connections within the government you get quick contracts and it doesnt matter if it works, millions and millions of tax payer when to so called government projects but nothing good is derived out of it.

If you asked me, " do i see this anywhere else in the world", i say, look at AIG. isn't it the same ?? at least it looks the same to me guys..

aren't our money when into bailing out this people ?? isn't it better that this money is used to developed good public transportations, more healthcare for the people is much better than this so call bailout, isn't it better that this money is use for our own society than to fund wars?? and guess what we have to send our friends, brothers, sisters, son and daughter to fight a war that till date, the objectives is different from what it was originally been said for.

trillions are spent on war that can be spent on betterment of our society, it is our tax money anyway..

I was once working on a project in Colorado Springs and i have to send a guy from malaysia to colorado, he fell sick on the day he arrive, though it was nothing much than that his body couldnt adjust fast enough to the changes of environment, but to be safe i send him to an ER room nearby and guess how much it cost me ? USD 5k = MYR 30,000!! that is because we are do not have insurance coverage for healthcare in america since we are not american.

my question to my american friends,
1) "does the company you work for in america covers you ?"

2) "what happen if you fall sick and you do not have an insurance to cover you and you are out of job?? "

3) "how many american friends do you know, that would not be able to pay the high price of healthcare if they do suddenly fall seriously sick ?? "

before i end this, i just wanted to say, In Malaysia, we have similar economy system as in the US, in Malaysia, you will see many freeloader who bank on government projects and got rich, without really ensuring projects objective is fulfilled. while we scream about socialist system that feeds the lazies, criminals and jobless from our tax money.. in my opinion i think there is always 2 side of the coins.

thoughts and opinion is welcome, but please don't flame me

i would like to refer ATS reader to this blog Malaysia Today

IN US ELECTIONS, SOME PARALLELS WITH MALAYSIA, written by Brian Yap

there is some interesting points to note and reinforce what i have posted earlier, while many might think it is a bad thing that Obama is elected president of the US, but guess what, by having this change, US can cause many positive changes in the world, especially preaching about democracy..it will definetely bring changes at least to my country without even going to war..

what is interesting to note that as more and more voters/citizen of US getting more informed, you will vote based on your own judgement and of course you will see that many are still voting based on sentiments.

I think the only change the US will be experiencing from this event is that this country and it's people are going to suck a lot more than they already do.

Let see Obama gets the federal court to legalize gay marriage.

Many democrats supported the no on prop 8 side and i believe will push the court the rule for legalizing gay marriage.

In the eyes of this pastor that would count as a ungodly act and he could say his prophesy was true.
