I guess it's not enough to just pose good questions here, so I'll include the answers this time. I was hoping to see who would come up with these on their own.

-It is inevitable, not the fulfillment of prophecy. A healthy organism will grow and eat weaker organisms. Same thing with organizations. It's doesn't take a prophet to predict this course of events.

-It will bring peace and unity to the world. The united states is full of people with different cultures and customs, and still works as one government made of individual states. A one world government could be modeled after the U.S. Each state would have it's own laws, and basic federal laws of human rights (and taxes).

-It could be voluntary, no state would need to be forced into the United States of Earth.

-You could still freely form political parties and organizations to combat environmental harm and corruption.

I'm just asking, isn't there a possible future that you could see something like this working out for the better?

If you are afraid of mingling with people of other nations and cultures, then I recommend that you seal off your bunker right now. Better to help shape the future government so that it works out with the power in the hands of the people, rather than play victim, run scared, and let others decide how it will work.

Think about it this way. If you hide in a hole and don't participate, then I will be one of the people shaping the world government the way I want it.

Now please discuss amongst yourselves.

the one world government that brings peace and unity to the world. that would be nice. however, this one world government seeks to kill over half the world's population. then enslave the rest. excuse me if i seem a bit hesitant.

I have no problem mingling with people from other cultures nor taking on board new ideas and better ways of living. What I have a problem with is being forced to do something and my privacy and integrity challenged for the sake of fearmongering. Yes, I'm sure terrorism is a threat and sure, fraud and identity theft is a problem but hey, that dont mean I want to submit to a big brother culture. Which is what the New World Order is percieved as. If you are talking about something else, then please refer to it as its name but anything remotely to do with NWO is going to attact stigmatism. Afterall, the Bible has been predicting it for centuries.

As far as the current NWO is concerned. I'm in the same boat as sliick! Sorry but I don't do fascism.

In theory, yes a one world government could be great. Unfortunately, the people in control have no intentions of creating a decent world for the rest of us. Its all about securing their own interests.
In a way its like socialism. I mean, on paper it's the great equalizer. In real life, potential for abuse is far too great and we have all seen what socialism turns into.

Ok well, that is another question. If you notice, I never used the term NWO. I simply said one world government

But of course, as pointed out, this always brings to mind the NWO. Can't we have a one world government without the feared NWO? Just because we have a one world government, does it mean the coming of a new world order?

No, we haven't seen what socialism turns into because there has never been a socialistic, nor communistic society on earth. One other thing. Socialism is an economic system, not a political system.

Well being a big star trek fan
I'm all for a one world government if it's the same as the one in star trek and shares the same values and principles. Unfortunately there will always be those who wish to control others and have all the power for themselves. So it's a pipe dream. Then again who knows what the future holds.

I didn't say NWO, and that's not really an argument against a one world government. What does fascism have to do with a one world government?

The United States is a One Continental Government, are we fascist? Do you know what a state is? A state is an independent government. It's also a name for a country. Each state in the united states is equivalent to an individual country. However we are United because we follow agreed upon Federal laws and a constitution. So you can cross state lines without having to show a passport or exchanging currency, and it's like living in one united nation, which is called the United States.

A united world could work just like that. There doesn't need to be any fascism. Each state/country could have it's own customs and laws, just like the States in the U.S. If you don't like Gay marriage, live in a state that bans it. Simple as that. Everyone can live the life they want, and live in a like minded community, yet still work together and live in peace.

Would be where I would want to live, IF ALL were in "Harmony", what you suggest is not possible with the system and the "MACHINE" "Money Changers" or whatever you so wish to call them.

Separation is what they need to continue their agenda._javascript:icon('

Good thread and AWESOME IDEA, I hope your seed of wisdom will inspire those with the "Desire to be one" will make the right thing happen for the many and not just the few.

WE are not but our government is.
This nation was founded as a constitutional republic, that is where 99% of the people can not take away the rights of the remaining 1%
It has become a fascist (or to be more accurate a corporatist government)
where one man (Feurer Bush) has taken away some of the rights of 100% of the people.

I think you may want to check that one out before you make a claim like that.

People's Republic of China
Republic of Cuba
Democratic (democratic my a**)People's Republic of Korea (North Korea)
Lao People's Democratic Republic (Laos)
Socialist Republic of Vietnam

I completely agree that we have a partially corpratist government, where the top 5% stock holders rule the rest of us in a way, deciding how much to pollute, and where to outsource, then you throw in lobbying and they have control beyond what corporations do. The only way to solve this is for common people to buy back their stocks, and own companies including the ones that they work for. These companies are global now and have all the power. So you can have you worldwide government delivered in this way as well.

Pass. I have only enough time to learn about things that actually exist. When I have time for fiction I'll prefer the X-Men.

I stand partially corrected. These are all places that I would not like to live because their quality of life is not as good as ours. However I believe this has more to do with their developing nation status rather than being pseudo-communistic.

I stand by what I said about communism. It hasn't been tried yet. The places you mentioned are not communist.

However socialism in various forms and quantities has been. Socialist concepts have worked in our country to lift the standard of living of many people. And Norway, a socialist nation has the highest standard of living on the planet.

It will have to work, and one day pretty soon. We live in a world economy now, and this idea that we can keep trading with foreign nations all using different versions of funny money just ain't working. We need to level the playing field. This trade deficit can't continue. What are all these foreign nations we buy and import from to do with their piles of US funny money? They can't shop here in the US for very much, we're too expensive. Heck, we ourselves don't buy Made in America much anymore because we couldn't afford it (how much do you suppose a USA union made iPod would cost?).

A One World Order would solve so many problems. Someone phone Obama and have him get it started.

The NWO isn't some occult/esoteric conspiracy. It's right in front of you, all you have to do is connect the dots.

You can't really say that we have a partially corporatist government, unless you are acknowledging that the other "part" is fascist.
We DO in fact seem to have a schizophrenic government who can't decide if it wants to keep all the power for itself, or serve it's corporate interests.

Open mouth insert foot? Take a look at sweden as well, some would call it socialist.

There we have two of your arguements shot down, (about socialist and communist governments)
As for the NWO...

Sroek is 110% right

Check out George "Magog" Bush Sr. talking about it in front of the U.N.
Check out the plans of the Bilderberg group.
The NWO is as real as the nose on your face, they just have something in common with the devil himself, "The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist."

Look into the matter before you claim something as potentially world destroying as the NWO doesn't exist, that is IF you can pull yourself away from X-Men long enough...

These two posts explained my same feeling about a one world government very well...

One world government is not necessarily a bad thing, as a matter of fact it's probably the only way mankind will get off this rock, but corrupt, greedy people at the top will never allow one to exist unless they are "at the wheel" controling it to serve their own agendas.
