posters with disabled family / friends

Into, I am disabled, the main issue for me is making sure I have plenty of my essential medical suppiles and drugs. I have been trying to stock pile some of it but the drugs are the main problem as they are all on presription I can only get so much especially morphine etc. But it dose not deter me and I have the good support of my family and we are a strong unit that works together well which is half the battle.

Yeah it is a certain variety and I think it is very very hard t find in the states (like they are illegal here). Not sure if there are any in mexico. But if you can grow the poppies it is pretty straightforward. You just slice the pods and gather the resin slowly over a period of days.

Actually, papaver somniferium is very easy to aquire and even legal to grow I believe, although the second you score the pod you are considered to be manufacturing narcotics and face a hefty penalty. The flowers absolutely beautiful, and many grow them in their gardens as well as using the dried pods for ornamental decoration.

In reponse to the thread, while not disabled in the sense of a wheelchair and such, I am prescribed narcotics for pain and if there was a event where I was unable to get my medication I am quite sure that would affect me, possibly even be deadly. In a situation where water and food is scarce, diarreah from withdrawal could potentially be fatal due to the loss of fluids and vitamins. The lack of sleep and lethargy would affect my ability to aquire food, hunt, and basically do any physical tasks. Thankfully, withdrawal would only last the better part of a week, but in a survival situation that is potentially fatal. I never really thought about it seriously until now, but with the amount of people who even if they are not disabled, who are on medications such as insulin or heart medicine could possibly end up just as bad if not worse as severely disabled people.

Yes withdrawal does concern me not just for our friend but our nearest town has quite a percentage hooked on pain meds, anti-depressants, sleep aids etc. Two of the 4 local doctors have been prohibited from writing prescriptions for narcotics.

Everyone is taking them. My husband and I do non-emergency medical transport and I would say 99% of our clients take such prescriptions on a regular basis. Some are very nice grandma type ladies you would never suspect of drug addiction. One lady told me she would meet the doctor in a parking lot and he would sell her meds over and above her prescribed amounts. Only when she needed them she assured me. They even trade back and forth with each other.

So what is this little town going to be like when their meds don't arrive? We're 10 miles out and don't have what they will be looking for but it still kind of worries me. There's a few crack heads thrown in for good measure but it is mostly prescribed stuff that is being abused "legally."

We are all for helping our fellow man but not to a fault. There is a great community here and it is my hope that some semblance of society will remain to help those that are injured and need more than what our limited resources could offer.

I have a girlfriend who is sick. She gets severe fatigue, sweats, shivers, has 3 potentially fatal illnesses, but she knows electronics: radio comm., computers, and healing: alternative medicine, natural remedies; and she knows nature: what plants to treat which ailments.

She is a spiritual healer also. She can deliver people from ancestral curses, and spells. She even makes a pretty good love potion, out of plants she grows in her home and yard. She is able to navigate unfamiliar surroundings, in total darkness.

I once saw her pick up a 250 pound man, and toss him. She is normally weak, but has periods of superhuman strength.

She stockpiles survival gear: police radios, pocket knives, matches, water, drugs, tools, weapons, chemicals and preservatives, gold and silver, etc.; from Chinese suppliers, dirt cheap, so she will have bargaining power come sitx.

She is a devout Roman Catholic, who recites The Chaplet of The Divine Mercy daily. She is able to protect herself by becoming transparent, and moving seamlessly through solid material.

She does these by becoming nothing, knowing nothing, being nothing, thinking about nothing, and sensing nothing. 'Nothing' cannot be seen, and is able to pass through solid matter. This is the key to Nirvana: 'NOTHING'.

She radiates light of a different kind. Those who would let her die, to preserve their own lives more easily, God would certainly backhand to the ground, so they would never rise again.

The physical body is an evolutionary relic, necessary to produce the soul (The highest evolved life form). Those who seek to preserve the physical temporal body, at the expense of the soul, lose both.

This isn't a matter of morality. It's Truth. Truth always has been, IS now, and always will be. There is one Truth. It is always the same. Truth never changes, and it never will.

Even if no human being knows The Truth, Truth remains Truth; Immutable, Eternal, Omniscient, I AM, Creator.

I protect the weak, and topple the mighty from their thrones. I humble the proud in their conceit, and exalt the lowly. When morality is separated from life, the soul is damned. If one does not believe in Hell, you will when you get there.

I plan in staying home bunker down and holden the fort .I live in a nice little niegherhood. ive got a stockpile going ,since i am disable i cant run.So pass the ammo and keep your head down .peace fellow humans
