May I say to the one who started this thread, respectfully, that I don't understand his line of reasoning? If you take a ton of time and study a
little economics you will see that your "American Dream" is already gone, before Obama has passed even one piece of legislation. There are fewer
jobs to work at and jobs will dry up completety, real soon. Just wait til after the holidays when there will be rolling bankruptcies and layoffs. I
don't care how hard you think you've worked, what will that matter when there are no jobs?
And the fear of higher taxes, well that's funny. Wait til the dollar resumes its downward slide, after this brief respite, and then inflation, and
hyper- inflation hit. Did you know that inflation is a hidden form of tax.
Don't you see what's going on? Even if McCain were voted in, our jobs are going, hyperinflation is on the way. You are right, America has changed.
The free-market system, without relulation has collapsed. The US dollar is no longer the world reserve currency and this will become painfully more
apparent as time goes on. This is one of the reasons why the G20 is meeting, to figure out what the next world reserve currency will be, or possibly,
they'll just create a new, single, International Central Bank.
The point is that we need to get over the whole "American Dream" bit. It's gone, already!
