So here we are ATSers. It's Election Day in the good ol' U.S. of A. (You are going to vote, right?) Personally, this day couldn't have come soon enough. The vitriol that has been spewed in this community over the course of the campaigns has been staggering. It will actually be a welcome relief to get back to reptilians, bogus predictions, free-energy hoaxes and the UFO debates. This politics thing is exhausting.

Alot of the same poster show-up regularly in the political melees. Some, like myself, also post in other subject matter. It's hard NOT to be initerested in politics given our current state-of-affairs. But since the beginning of this campaign I have been suspicious of some posters. It almost seems like they came here JUST for the purpose of disseminating political spin. Will they be here tommorrow? A week from now? Or will they just vanish as quickly as they appeared.

How about ModNoids? Is there any way we can track (just numbers would be ok. We don't need to name names) the political posters who disappear post election?

I think that would be a great idea. It will be interesting to see how many members just vanish.

I don't think we will have to worry after the election.
I'm sure there will be plenty to talk about. As the world turns....the truth will unfold....

Its pretty evident that both sides have viewed the net as yet another space to do battle for hearts, minds and $$$$$ donations but:

As long as the poster stays within the terms and conditions of the site its hard to take action.

On the otherside, I have been here at ATS for some time and one aspect has stayed constant. The core membership here excells at sniffing out BS, Spin, propaganda and the like be it conspiracy claims or politics. Are there a few posters that as a member I think seem to have a single focus sure. They are pretty easy to spot actually but......

I suspect after the dust settles, those that have a real interest in what we do here will hang on, those paid cyberwarriors will settle away and crawl back under whatever rock you find such people under.

No it wont. The winning side will be feeling thier oats, the loosing side pointing fingers everywhere and complaints about the impending doom the election of the other candidate will cause. etc etc etc

But in a week or so it will die down. It always does.
