Hi, just saw a youtube video of what is supposed to be a families home video being abducted.

The experts couldn't say that this was all faked.

would like your input about the video.

There are several threads here on the topic actually, and it is known that the director of both films was surprised to find out that his uncirculated, low-budget flick from the 80s found it's way to viral/tv fame.

The better quality one is a remake with a much better budget and a few changes to the plot/characters.

A pretty enjoyable movie actually. Only a movie though.

Thanks for the posting. I did used the search function and did get alot of searches.

I didn't know what this video was about so my search terms were more general type so I found alot of posts and went thought them and haven't found anything on this.

Both films were inspiration for "Blair Witch" and every other "Shaky camera" ones after. Alien Abduction: Incident at Lake County was made for TV due to "X files" popularity. And this is the first movie that used internet as a marketing tool to start rumors among people. In "McPherson tape" director Dean Alioto used alien design as seen in betty and barney Hill movie from the 70s. In "lake county" version they rented alien props from "X Files" series.
