America is becoming more equal that's for sure. But equal in the wrong direction. Instead of prospering, more are becoming poorer. I guess running all those corporations and their jobs out of town wasn't such a good idea after all. We can still tax the rest of them out of business now that we have full democrat control of everything.

The monkey wrench the dems threw into the corporation’s machinery two years ago worked perfectly. At least the dems didn't lie about it, they said they would raise taxes on corporations and that's why we voted them in. High five anyone?

To borrow a phrase from the conservative talking points manual....

"America, Love it or Leave it"

I don't know where you are from gdeed, but if the American system of
a Democratic Republic and the way elections are held here, disturbes you so much and you just want to be a crybaby about it....

Perhaps you should return to where you came from; or else man it up and stop whining. Your vote counted didn't it....as did millions that were sick to death of the corruption, greed, and moral perversion in the GOP; of which I am a member.

Want to know who's stuck in stupid? Those Yahoo's that can't deal with their ideology being rejected by the majority.

I already know, I listed it in my first post

America will now be more like Europe, less powerful economically and militarily. The new America, nothing special anymore.

as far as i know, Europe has less economic problems then the US. The only economic problems we have, we inherited by the US. Capitalism is not the answer to everything. By just creating more money, the value of it drops...Inflation can kill it all (Zimbabwe).

Maybe it IS time you get pampered. Since your last president made a huge mess. Someone needs to pull the strings and perhaps act a little socialistic. You don't want to end up in a civil war right?

But hey, what do i know. Being from Europe...Having not so much interest in power&control, but just keeping the peace. And economic just steady and nothing special. And more socialistic and well educated.

BTW. Wondered about home schooling. I'm not native English, so i tried understanding what you said earlier. Do you have a problem with public scholing? Does that mean you are in favor of home scholing? (i think that home scholing is the main reason the US is still a less educated country)

China the largest Communist country finally found out how to feed it's billion plus people, Capitalism! I guess they could have let them all starve like in North Korea and decrease the surplus population.

America is very socialistic already. We have the largest welfare system in the world. Bought and paid for by hard working Capitalists. Not sure how they will finance it now that Capitalism is being run out of town.

But hey, what do i know. Being from Europe...Having not so much interest in power&control, but just keeping the peace. And economic just steady and nothing special. And more socialistic and well educated.

Europe didn't have to do much because America carried a big stick and kept you all safe from the Russian bear. That's not true anymore. Europe is going to have to get off its butt and protect itself.

Home schooling would be great but our leftist school teachers’ union will not let it happen.

Home schooling good? I find that a kinda dangerous point of view. Remember that you find over half of the US stupid. Imagine those "stupid" people home schooling their children? Apart from that, kids learn more in classrooms than just what's in the books. Social skills is not really something that you can teach your child at home without other kids.

This russian bear has been gone for a long time now. Since that, there is no real threat against Europe. Since i am too young to know much about the russians, i don't know if they were even threatening us. So protect? Against terrorism perhaps? For now, we seem to be doing fine. Somehow it's the US that feels threatened and feels they need to attack Iraq for some reason. And then, because our governments want to befriend the US president, we help out. Trying to keep the peace when possible. Too bad there is no way back or out anymore. And call me naieve, but i guess we do and can protect ourselves.

You have the largest welfare system in the world you say. Might be, i don't know that. But as far as i know, a lot of people in the US do not have health insurance because they can't afford it. Futhermore, your welfare system is partially paid by loans your country can never pay back and not just by the capitalists.

China is not that good a example for your point. The majority of this country is extremely poor and lives from the food they produce themselves. The rich is getting richer in that country but the poor are kinda neglected.

So the US is in depth. If they just print more money to spend what will the value of the dollar do? Looking at the depth, there is a lot of money to be printed. In the end everything will just cost more and the salaries won't grow hard enough to handle that. So that's what i meant with:capitalism isn't always the answer. A little is good, but never spend extremely more than you earn is what i learned from my mother...

I thought that colleges and university's were the breeding grounds for the liberals.

If that's the case then it's the educated portion of the population that is liberal.

How can that be when you've so clearly made the argument that anyone who disagrees with your position is stupid?

Stupid is not restricted to any particular political party. There are plenty of stupid people in both of the major parties.

You are such a crybaby for no reason.

It's the conservatives that are stuck in stupid.

Home schooling is available to anyone with out any say by the leftist teachers union.

Perhaps if you would use google as a research tool and not just parrot back el Rushbo all the time not only would you be more informed but perhaps a little happier.

At one time I was a member of the AFT. Here is their web site; find one place where it even mentions homeschooling. We had enough trouble getting a living wage and classroom materials. We wanted people to home school to lighten the classroom sizes to a manageable level and spread the resources.

Our public schools are the best equipped in the world yet we can't seem to educate our children very well. Home schooling couldn’t do any worse. In fact, many Americans do home schooling and those children do better in social skills and education in general than those receiving public education.

This russian bear has been gone for a long time now. Since that, there is no real threat against Europe.

The Russian bear is alive and well. And it intends to get back some of those breakaway countries that escaped when the USSR collapsed.

Since i am too young to know much about the russians, i don't know if they were even threatening us. So protect?

I'm sure the education Europeans are getting now is slanted to the left and so is the history of what the USSR was, and is. The whole country was a prison and people were shot trying to escape. Made the news often. I guess your history books have been sanitized of those facts.

Many people are naive, I'm sure you think that about me lol

Anyway, the world is never a safe place, its all in the history books. The history books few young people are interested in reading, here in America and also in Europe.

You have the largest welfare system in the world you say. Might be, i don't know that. But as far as i know, a lot of people in the US do not have health insurance because they can't afford it. Futhermore, your welfare system is partially paid by loans your country can never pay back and not just by the capitalists.

The welfare system is 100% paid for by capitalists. The taxes from corporations, small and large is where "all" money comes from. Money doesn't grow on trees here in America, as many people will soon find out.

China is not that good a example for your point. The majority of this country is extremely poor and lives from the food they produce themselves. The rich is getting richer in that country but the poor are kinda neglected.

China is and will remain a Communist country. But they saw how well Capitalism worked in the USA and decided to try a little bit of it. China is not a democracy and few have a say in anything. That's what communism is.

So the US is in depth. If they just print more money to spend what will the value of the dollar do? Looking at the depth, there is a lot of money to be printed. In the end everything will just cost more and the salaries won't grow hard enough to handle that. So that's what i meant with:capitalism isn't always the answer. Capitalism did not fail, two years ago we voted in a bunch of socialists into the congress and they raised taxes and crippled many companies and that's why we are now having the economic problems.

Instead of learning from that mistake, we again voted in more socialists. Hence, "America is stuck in stupid"

Not a good thing for America or the rest of the world. If America goes down the tubes so too many other countries.

But most of those red states didn’t have the welfare numbers to get him elected like in those blue states.

LOL....i just find it amusing how little you respond to what i said. Stupidity to me is not being able to see another point of view.

We have learned a lot about Russia, don't get me wrong. But they never threatened us, the western part of Europe. Since something had to be done to prevent Germany from doing what they did again, they split the country and build a huge wall. This wall split Europe in West and East. All that were threatened was the eastern part of Europe. Some countries in this part still need some help, but most are very well. Yet since 1989 there is no wall.... And Russia didn't try to take back this land in Georgia. This part of Georgia wanted to become Russian. All Russia did was try to help. But i know the US is told a different story

I know exactly what you mean; some people simply don't get the other point of view

I guess they forgot to mention in your schools that America kept the big bear from devouring the rest of Europe during the Cold War.

And that's a nice fairytale about Russia not wanting Georgia back and so many people actually believe that.

Anyway, those living further away from Russia are like the sheep that know about the wolf, but are happy to know that the wolf needs to eat those sheep closest to it first.

Not America's problem anymore, so believe what you wish. BTW, the shield is off the table with our new president. That should make the left happy as punch
I bet the Polish are not too happy since they are the next sheep in line.

With all the economic turmoil in the world right now the big cats can choose their next meals with little resistance

He got that one right. Universities should be places of learning, not leftwing propaganda breeding grounds.

So voting Republican and voting in George W. Bush was a plus for our country right? We as a whole are doing so well now eight years into Republican Rule.

I voted predominately Democatic and I will put my education, IQ as well as political research against yours any day of the week.

When the last Democratic President left office we had a surplus.

At the end of this past Republican President we now find ourselves

-- As of September 2008 jobless rate was 6.1% .
--Averaging 400,000 people per week filing unemployment
-- Massive layoffs due to outsourcing
--Large Corporations being given tax breaks to take their jobs out of America
--Another 1.2 million home foreclosures
--Trillion Dollar war we were lied to and manipulated into
--The rest of the world has watched us now condone torture
--46.6 million Americans without health insurance.
--Corruption corruption and more corruption seeps from the Repubican rule. They predominantly sold their souls to Corporate America at the expense of the common man.

Come on you are either really really stupid or brainwashed.

I suggest you read:

Fraud by Paul Waldman
The End of America by Naomi Wolf
Blinded By The Right by David Brock
The Republican Noise Machine by David Brock
Big Lies by Joe Conason
A Tragic Legacy by Glenn Greenwald
The Audacity Of Hope by Barack Obama
Death of Democracy, the Erosion of Freedom Doctrine of The Second American Revolution by J. C. Laughton

These are just a few books I have read in the last several months.

How many have you read?

What research other then picking up a newspaper and watching Fox do you do to obtain your opinion.

Reading leftwing propaganda doesn't make one smart you know

I haven't read any leftwing or rightwing propaganda books. I did read Poison Ivy many years ago. But I have read many other books too.

If you are looking for truth and not fantasy I suggest you read Poison Ivy.

Do you know tiring your whining gets?

I have been in entrepreneurial/free Enterprise business for 25 years and prospered.
But now thanks to the GOP/neocons and their war on the middle class thru higher gas prices, bailouts, corruption, corporate welfare and war profiteering; my businesses are on the verge of tanking. What little disposable income the middle class had, has been eaten up by the oil companies and inflation of food prices thru unregulated Corporate greed!!!

If you were in my shoes, you would see the day to day reality of what this so called conservative administration, that you apparently worship, has done to the small business man in this country.

But even with this retail slump, caused by people that think like you, I have the ability to reinvent myself, my business and still prosper thanks to the new administration, that perhaps will place the country back on an economic model based on something other than the "trickle down" theory; or "trickle on" as I like to call it; And realize that the small businessman is the backbone of this country, not the greedy sluts like Enron.

Who do you work for gdeed? And what is your idea of capitalism? Sucking at the corporate teat and hoping and praying that you eventually get a pittance of a retirement? That's not free enterprise; that's bondage!!
The death of Capitalism will be the result of fascism; not liberalism.
Most of my contemporaries in the entrepreneurial/capitalist/business world tend to lean left. The key word in free enterprise is FREE!!!! And from where I stand, it is the liberals that embrace Freedom; not the conservatives that want to control me in the bedroom, my office, my travel, my body and the way I choose to think.

I know that probably nothing would make you happier than to paint me as some wildeyed liberal, but point of fact; I have been a member of the GOP for over 30 years. And being a pragmatist, realist and not slavishly allied with a particular ideology like you seem to be; I can see the benefits of all systems and that includes conservatism, liberalism and [gasp] socialism.

And despite your cynicism and sarcasm...

Yes AMERICA is great!!!

S&F...for allowing me to express myself in this STILL great America. And I will continue to express myself no matter how much the rightwing pigs want to stifle my freedom of expression and opposition to their constipated ideology of hate/divisiveness and control; so aptly demonstrated by this last GOP campaign.

There aren't enough Republicans in office to stop the train reck (healthcareless legislation) the democrats are shoving up our colective behinds. When Americans see how much their paychecks are going to shrink to cover the cost of that fiasco it will be too late to stop it.

It's the leftwing (p*gs) that rule most of the world, well all of the world now that America has gone left. I would say "pig" as you called me but "I" would probably get censored since I'm not part of the rulling majority.
