The source is unclear. While it is possible a genuine RAND doc exists, it has not been referred to directly. Another possibility is that it is Chinese propaganda designed to embarrass the incoming President using one of the classic US MIC bogeymen, the RAND Corp.

However as the original article has only appeared in the Chinese press, it is more likely to be aimed at the domestic Chinese population with the intention of demonising the war-mongering US (this does not preclude a genuine RAND doc having been leaked or stolen and then used for propaganda purposes.)

I've jsut been listening to this on infowars. If i've got this right, one his English contributors,Paul Watson has a Chinese girlfriend who reported that in the Chinese press and China in general there is uproar going on over this proposal to boost the US economy.

Where this info originally came from -a suspected leak from within RAND?

... and this is what really ticks me off! Was it your intention to raise the tensions with China? Don't think so!

So a small group of people decided to do this on our behalf? Hmmm... Don't think so. This is where democracy is a joke and also illustrates the idiots that appear to be able to control our lives and the effects of the economy.

It makes me mad.

Who are these jerks to further alienate the people of the West from the East?

In my benign dictatorship, rest assured that I would have them taken out and shot ;-P

The man who writes for Alex Jones Paul Joseph Watson‘s girldfriend is Yihan Dai.
She’s Chinese and speaks perfect English.
She heard this information - MSM China - passed the info on to her boyfriend who passed it on to Alex Jones on the air, then, he wrote posted the article.

We all know war is the biggest money making machine in the world.

How do we fight that?

all very well but honetsly ...can you not see the chinese government and the us as well as russia and all others really are working for the same goals ....?? do u not get this ITS A GAME to divide us ....PLZ wake up

One thing to consider ...
Look at chinas record in the UN ...Even though we(west) moan almost daily about china and its human rights record its evil government police state etc etc etc

Then look at the UN and all the awards the communist government china has received ..

This should ring some alarm bells
We (the west )are not against china at all . Our leaders are jealous of china and model their system on it ..

CAN YOU LOT NOT SEE THIS ..
Communism & socialism on one side are the excat same as conservatism democrates lefties righties on the other ..
Both systems have been created by the same people ..I wish you people would educate yourself .

Go back a bit look at germnay france and russia from about the time before the french and russian revolution ..PLZ educate yourself ..

PLEASE!!!

WHo funded both revolutions ...WHO ?? the same bankers in europe ..they created both sides west capitalism east communism..

ITS THE SAME CREATED FOR US TO POLARISE US!!! and we all fall for it ...for centuries ...just look at this years election...You like Obama (puppet) your a communist and socialist apparently ...HELLO STOP repeating all the seeds planted in your head ..You sound like a wind up doll ..YOU are programmed !!!!! These are not your thougths
Same goes for the Mccain puppet ..you like him some will tell you hes a right wing conservative etc etc ...the election is as always a farce ...a play to keep your tiny minds thinking you have a voice ...

Divide and conquer ..many know this but few grasp for how long we are played

It always does, but at great human life cost.

My mother and father lived through WWII and a german occupation of both their

towns in Greece. Ever see the movie Corelli's mandolin? Try being

a 11 year old boy and seeing humans getting machine gunned into pits...

Still, my mother recently started saying "there are too many

people in the world, its time for another war."

I'll never understand the European mentality - 'war is ok, and natural...'

(as long as you or your children don't die, sure, why not).

First off they would never declare war, just some type of police action. If you declare war you can not help both sides fight each other. And if you think wars are not profitable just look at the stock market post 9/11. People made loads of money in stocks and anything related to security. Hell thousands of people got jobs checking my bags at the airport, walking around looking busy, just generally being useless. Home Land Defense has a 200 billion annual budget, prior to 9/11 there was no Home Land defense.

first off I think anon posts shouldn't be allowed here because they cannot be called out on bogus information...but whatever...

This:

is a typically misleading statement.
"Home Land Defense" is Homeland Security which is a reorganization of MANY other departments that do not exist any longer.. so saying it this way makes it seem like an ADDITIONAL 200 billion is being spend which is NOT the case.

where exactly are you getting the 200 billion from?
Quite the stinky place I would imagine.

Budget Figures are here

the other part of your argument is even more ridiculous.. a few thousand extra security at airports would not fuel the economy in the slightest..
people making money in the stock market in "security stocks" doesn't either. Learn how the economy works bro..the little guy needs to spend spend spend...

second.. off.. er...
well, a "police action" would barely register on our consious which in turn would do nada for an economy. A WAR would fuel any economy, not the way "normal" life is now but still.. metal must be pounded.

What? This is no suprise to me that this idea is starting to circulate.
But Japan? Why would they include them.. No war is winnable..and the chance of upscaling to nuclear would be high..Then there would be no economy to stimulate..

Aren't there 2 wars already going on? Has this helped the economy?

Yes it does, but at what cost. The US economy went up drastically after wwII, but we actually produced things as a country then, and didnt just buy everything from China. I almost wonder how much of a difference it would make in the positive since the war we are in now would be a cakewalk compared to attacking russia, you think the bill on the irag war is big. Not only that, we are over confident in the assumtion we will win a war against Russia or another superpower, it is possible to lose after all.

Look, I hate to spoil the party here but I don't think there's any chance of this happening. I wouldn't put it past Bush to start something with Iran in his last few weeks as President, but that isn't going to fix anything as far as the economy.

People need to use a little common sense here. This is ATS, and there are FANTASTIC (as in UNBELIEVABLE) rumors here all the time about things that are going to happen in the near future. They never seem to pan out. This idea that we're going to start a war with China or Russia or some other major power to fix our economy -- I mean I'm sorry I just find it laughable, especially in the absence of sources with established credibility.

It does. However by how much is to be determined. If you've ever have taken an economics class then you will know the saying "theirs no such thing as a free lunch" meaning manufacturing may be boosted, but some other sector will be in less demand. War also halps the banks funding the war and projects pertaining to... War is also a way for us to clear our debt...We owe 500 billion to china as it stands now(I have seen many of you talking about this before too). However, for the uneducated people on this site(which happens to be a lot) China knows they are buying worthless paper. Many of you seem to believe this is such a huge problem that china has so much stock in our country. Well simply it is not. China funds our economy with this bonds so we have money to keep purchasing all the cheap exports china has to offer. It goes a lot more in depth than that, but i'll keep it simple for those who have problems understanding.

Anyways since when is North Korea a superpower? Actually the only remaining superpower as it stands today is the U.S. We will go to war to erase our debt when we have to. And since when is information like this leaked? You crazy hardcore conspiracy theorists have been saying Armageddon is going to happen every other day for the last 20 years now. Get a grip on reality. Something big will happen eventually, but not because you guys predicted it. But I guarantee you guys are the first one their saying I told you so. Newsflash EVERYONE KNOWS SOMETHING BIG IS GOING TO HAPPEN EVENTUALLY.

A war with Russia or China will only grow the parts of the economy that make brown trousers and then coffins. After that there won't be any economy left - apart from maybe in rat meat or something.

A war with Japan? You do realise that the US protects Japan and that it doesn't have it's own standing army - so it would essentially be a civil war! Doh!

RAND maybe pretty rightwing, but they are not complete lunatics who envisage Mad Max as a blue print for the future of the US.

As Alex Jones and Info wars can make up a million hoaxes before most of us have finished breakfast I'm going to call BS on this story.

Regardless of whether this source is credit or not, most of us here have been watching the chess pieces being laid out before us...

Whe KNOW our leaders think death = profit. And that's because they are coward. There are so many honest ways to make a living, and they cannot come up with one?
Well. then what they have done to Americans by taking over the media, and showing us what they want us to see, has been most beneficial.

It makes me want to cry, the way people I know and love still believe in this two-party system, and genocide against Muslims for our safety.
Sick, sick, sick!

In his farewell speech to the nation, Eisenhower raised the issue of the Cold War and role of the U.S. armed forces. He described the Cold War saying: "We face a hostile ideology global in scope, atheistic in character, ruthless in purpose and insidious in method..." and warned about what he saw as unjustified government spending proposals and continued with a warning that "we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex... Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together."

If only we could pay attention to the warnings that were laid out for us. Humans really are sheep, easily herded toward their slaughter, with everyone else. Our tendency to ignore warnings laid out for us, upsets me. The total and complete lack of respect for our own forefathers in this country.

Are you suggesting they are trying to get nuked by Pakistan so that it will boost the economy?

I think it's more likely that the moron Bush and his cronies just don't give a carp anymore and think they can do what they like with the high tech killing toys they can command.

Yeah, I was just thinking: Wouldn't a Third World War (which is what would come about if you attacked another superpower) probably involve the use of nuclear weapons?

So, how exactly would the economy grow if not even grass could grow?

I am willing to take the lesser of two evils here...

I will side with whomever, decides to take this as a threat & make a pre-emptive strike against the US (Errr, former US).

Here that China? Hear that Russia?

Just don't drop any on Australia, we can't do crap anyways..lol

I'm With yers all the way on this one... When the Socalled goodguys (they allways are in the movies anyway), start talking about making a first strike, I know i'm on the wrong side.!!
