McCain Rashid Khalidi Connection

A 1998 tax filing for the McCain-led group shows a $448,873 grant to Khalidi's Center for Palestine Research and Studies for work in the West Bank. (See grant number 5180, "West Bank: CPRS" on page 14 of this PDF.)

The relationship extends back as far as 1993, when John McCain joined IRI as chairman in January. Foreign Affairs noted in September of that year that IRI had helped fund several extensive studies in Palestine run by Khalidi's group, including over 30 public opinion polls and a study of "sociopolitical attitudes."

Of course, there's seemingly nothing objectionable with McCain's organization helping a Palestinian group conduct research in the West Bank or Gaza. But it does suggest that McCain could have some of his own explaining to do as he tries to make hay out of Khalidi's ties to Obama.

Something about casting stones comes to mind.

This may just be a blog, but I love the story anyway. Obama can do no wrong it seems.

The Project for Excellence in Journalism’s researchers found that John McCain, over the six weeks since the Republican convention, got four times as many negative stories as positive ones. The study found six out of 10 McCain stories were negative.

What’s more, Obama had more than twice as many positive stories (36 percent) as McCain — and just half the percentage of negative (29 percent).

I wonder if our taxes paid for that research?

Just 8 years ago Obama couldn't even be elected by the people of Illinois and now more than half of the USA is behind him.

This outlaw is a cousin, but Nobama says he is not a blood relative. Does that mean cousin like 'brotha'? Is he related or not? People who reliably get away with anything, come to believe they are immune from getting caught, and they eventually fall hard. Like OJ. Like Hitler. Like Stalin. They are protected by 'the Dark Side', and then 'they' get a kick out of letting their 'charges' get walloped. High charisma, intelligent, and zero integrity. Vote Obama, vote Communist.

McCain funded the same person.

From Huffington Post.

The latest guilt-by-association target that the McCain campaign is using to hit Barack Obama could carry some collateral damage for its own candidate.

As Politico's Ben Smith reported on Tuesday, the McCain campaign is demanding that the Los Angeles Times release video in its possession of a party attended by Barack Obama and Columbia University professor Rashid Khalidi.

"A major news organization is intentionally suppressing information that could provide a clearer link between Barack Obama and Rashid Khalidi," said McCain spokesman Michael Goldfarb, citing Obama's friendship with Khalidi, who is now a professor at Columbia University.

The McCain camp gambit comes after conservative writers have repeatedly pressed for media outlets to write about the rather tenuous connections between Obama and Khalidi, an outspoken advocate for Palestinian rights.

Specifically, National Review writers want much more attention paid to the association, given that the LA Times has reported that Khalidi lavished praise on Obama at a farewell party in Chicago at which Bill Ayers was also present. (Other writers have accused Khalidi of being an aide to Yasser Arafat, a claim which Marc Ambinder and Ari Berman have suggested is not credible.)

In regards to Khalidi, however, the guilt-by-association game burns John McCain as well.

During the 1990s, while he served as chairman of the International Republican Institute (IRI), McCain distributed several grants to the Palestinian research center co-founded by Khalidi, including one worth half a million dollars.

A 1998 tax filing for the McCain-led group shows a $448,873 grant to Khalidi's Center for Palestine Research and Studies for work in the West Bank. (See grant number 5180, "West Bank: CPRS" on page 14 of this PDF.)

I remember that the exit polls were way off. They were scratching their heads for weeks after..

Throughout election night, the national exit poll showed the Massachusetts senator leading President Bush by 51 percent to 48 percent. But when all the votes were counted, it was Bush who won by slightly less than three percentage points. Larger discrepancies between the exit poll estimates and the actual vote were found in exit polls conducted in several states. At the request of the media sponsors, Mitofsky and Lenski are continuing to examine exit polling in Ohio and Pennsylvania, two critical battleground states where the poll results were off.

This is one of the many things that scares me about him. If he was such a great student, why won't he release his records? Why can't we see his thesis? This man has way too much to hide, and someone pretty high up is helping him.

He has affiliated with and befriended scoundrels and hatemongers and yet he can do no wrong in the eyes of the FAR left. He merely shrugs it off. Absoultely amazing to me.

There must be one huge closet of people locked up with tape over their mouths. If he ends up in office, the flood gates of truth will open and it will be to late.

What really boggles my mind is the masses of brain dead lunatic left wingers that have been screaming at the top of their lungs since 9-12-01 that Bush and his administration were behind the 9-11 terrorist attacks, YET o-boy has ACTUALL ties with and support from real terrorists here in the U.S. and left wing nuts everywhere shrug it off as nothing!

This guy is a wolf in sheep’s clothing and the crap that has come out about him thus far is probably only the tip of the ice berg.

I think maybe people lie to reporters on the exit polls just to screw with their heads. It wouldn't take many people, relatively speaking, to screw up the polling. That's the reason no one should concede until the last vote is counted, and verified.

I wonder if this why I've suddenly noticed the first negative news stories ever about Obama? It is October 28'th and the first remotely negative news headlines regarding Obama on Google and a couple mentions on TV.

It has been amazing (and sad) to witness how easily people are manipulated through media as Obama has proved this past year.

I did not watch any of the Republican Primaries nor the Democrat Primaries. I watched little to none of the news since. Not interested. I am not interested simply because I disapprove of most of what passes for news and informations here in America. It is interesting to me ..even with computers ...what a heavy paper curtain there actually is over the minds of many Americans.

I know all I need to know about Obama back when he answered a question about the Abortion issue by stating ..."That's above my pay grade."

I knew right there he was a stealth candidate and would use any slight of hand to get the office as would the political party by which he is represented.

The political party by which he is represented used the abortion issue as a litmus test to control access to any and every office in the land. The issue for years and years and years...was not if one was qualified for the office...but what was ones stance on abortion. But when the question comes around to Obama..."That's above my pay grade."
The double standard here is very telling to me.

I put no faith in the media..any of it ...as they are just shills for their respective party. One needs a serious decoder ring to get through all the drivel spoon fed to us through the media here in America. But they could not completely cover up...."That's above my pay grade."

I expect more from any public servant than "That's above my pay grade."

Also it does not surprise me that the LA Times would sit on any such video. I believe they and other news and information outlets have done tis before..many times...and for political reasons.

Thanks,
Orangetom

It's kind of hard to go to the source and verify facts when access is limited or denied. Want some insight into this mans psyche? Read some of his college papers... oh yeah! they're sealed. Want to know how he got into Harvard? No prob, check out his records... oh yeah! thery're sealed. Questions about the validity of the birth cert he's provided for POTUS? There's a copy in the vault in HI, just check it out... oh yeah! that's sealed now too.

So you see, the man is un-touchable. And now a member of the press, the very industry we used to rely on to investigate these issues, is refusing to provide proof. It's no wonder we have no idea who to trust anymore and turn to the internet for our news. The industry should be ashamed of themselves for the last 20 months.

I refuse to believe that the L.A times would NOT print a story like this, especially if it were true.

And who is this Khalidi guy anyway? What?.. anybody with an arab name is immediately labeled a terrorist? even if this Khalidi did have a relationship with Arrafat.. tell me.. what has Arrafat ever done or been able to do? He's an old stubborn man with no power. Certainly not a terrorist.

First they called Obama a celebrity, then it was the lipstick on a pig thing, then they say that he pals around with terrorists, then they said he was a socialist, and now they are saying he is a communist..

There is a visible pattern here,, the McCain campaign have been the cause of most of this..from the lady who carved a B on her face, to the skinhead plot to kill Obama, to the negative atmosphere generated by the McCain campaign themselves. All of these accusations and lies to distract the public from the real issues.

When that old woman told McCain in one of his rallies that she was scared of Obama because she thought he was an arab, McCain by his own admission told the lady that there is no reason to fear Obama as president and that he is a decent family man whom he respects . Now that is just completely prejudiced. Even if he was arab, so what? even if he was a Muslim.. so what? if McCain had any respect for other cultures in the world, then he would have defended the arabs so as not to be prejudiced..but I can clearly see that McCain is prejudiced..and this prejudice is the main theme of his campaign.

The republicans have taken it too far this time.. smear and fear tactics are old, but apparently those tactics remain effective.

If any of these accusations were true anyways..do you really think a socialist or a terrorist could be a presidential candidate? I doubt the people that be would ever allow anyone with those attributes to run for president.

One last thing.. the McCain campaign have openly admitted that if they were to continue talking about the Economy then they would lose the election. I wonder why that is

Peace all,

but exactly why is everything sealed?
i'm extremely confused on all of this and don't know what to think... but i'm slowly making my own conclusions.
does his involvement with khalidi/palestine mean that he's anti zionist agenda? i heard some of his bs speeches on tv and was completely rolling my eyes when he mentions the 'war on terror' , 'finding osama' and 'al quaeda'...but is he just saying those things to 'play along', and once he gets elected he'll show his 'true colors'.... ie: anti israel/zionist sentiment??

i know the nwo wants war with iran as the next step of reestablishing israel as the next global power, but as a black man let alone a muslim would barak seriously let this happen? i'm not sure, but i wouldn't necessarily think so.

i've never been pro-bama and i've thought of him as nothing but a shill and a phony up until now, but hearing all of this just gets me thinking.... and please don't stone me if you think i'm being stupid but i just wanna clear this sh** up.

Stone you? Not my style my friend. College was when most of us came of age. I think some of the things we do/did in college are important, and some are not. A thesis paper praising Saul Olinsky and his work as a community organizer may be important, it depends... But it would be nice to read it and compare the college kid with the POTUS candidate.

The counry should have insight into those interested in the highest office in this country. We need to compare and contrast what we hear now (campaign promises) to what these peoples ideals were before entering the process.

The media disgsts me. If they had a tape on McCain It would be a special news bulletin on every major network! Repeatedly! Everything questionable, negative, worrisome, unethical, etc. that has come up about Obama gets swept under the rug! This man who is biracial, sat in a church listening to a "reverand" spew hatred about whites, jews, and the USA for 20 years! Then he takes his daughters to listen to the same crap! Teching them to hate and deny their white heritage! Just like he has. And people look the other way. Ties to terrorists? Look the other way. Questionable campaign donations? Look the other way. There was a time in this country when a journalist would have spent every waking minute getting to the bottom of his campaign funds, his associations with terrorists, and who has the money and power to get him where he is, because it is extremely suspect. Anyone remember Watergate? When was the last time a candidate had 605 million dollars to run for president? This has become like a cult following. Half this country are sheep with our liberal media leading the way. America's hope? McCain and our conservative population.

What? we are still waiting for his BIRTH CERTIFICATE he was just granted a continuance till AFTER the election

Have you noticed that everything about this guy from his metoric rise to the senate from his ivy league education having no student loans to pay for getting so much money so fast unlike anything in the annals of superhuman politics with all the obamanoids calling everything "fake" a GOP scam all kinds of excuses ya got to wonder where did all these little socialists come from?

This guy is involved in some MASSIVE voter fraud and I think it's time we get something planned to start his impeachment drive as soon as he takes the oath of office. There is too much being collected on this guy.

Ya know what they are MY GUNS * MY FREEDOM * MY MONEY! and Obama can keep the Change! I'd rather have BUSH four more years than this Marxist!

First, Obama's ties to Islamists:

• The Khalid al-Mansour connection: According to former Manhattan Borough president Percy Sutton, Mansour "was raising money for" Obama's expenses at Harvard Law School. Mansour, a black American (né Don Warden), became adviser to Saudi prince Al-Walid bin Talal, CAIR's largest individual donor. Mansour holds standard Islamist views: He absolves the Islamist government in Sudan of sponsoring slavery, he denies a Jewish tie to Jerusalem and he wrote a booklet titled "Americans Beware! The Zionist Plot Against S. Arabia." (Both Obama and Mansour deny Sutton's account.)

• The Kenny Gamble (also known as Luqman Abdul-Haqq) connection: Gamble, a once-prominent pop music producer, cut the ribbon to the Obama campaign headquarters housed in a South Philadelphia building he owns. Gamble is an Islamist who buys large swaths of real estate in Philadelphia to create a Muslim-only residential area. Also, as the self-styled "amir" of the United Muslim Movement, he has many links to Islamist organizations, including CAIR and the Muslim Alliance in North America. (MANA's "amir" is Siraj Wahhaj, an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.)

SECOND, OBAMA's ties to the Nation of Islam:

Obama's long-time donor and ally Antoin "Tony" Rezko partnered for nearly three decades with Jabir Herbert Muhammad, a son of NoI leader Elijah Muhammad, and says he gave Jabir and his family "millions of dollars over the years." Rezko also served as executive director of the Muhammad Ali Foundation, a rogue organization that, without Ali's permission, exploited the name of this CAIR awardee.

Jeremiah Wright, Obama's esteemed pastor for 20 years, came out of a Nation background. Recently he accepted protection from an NoI security detail, and has praised Louis Farrakhan, the NoI's leader, as one of the "giants of the African American religious experience." Wright's church celebrated Farrakhan for his having "truly epitomized greatness."

Farrakhan himself endorsed Obama, calling him "the hope of the entire world," "one who can lift America from her fall," and even "the messiah."
That Obama's biography touches so frequently on such unsavory organizations as CAIR and the Nation of Islam should give pause.

How many of politicians have a single tie to either group, much less seven of them!!!!!!!!

MASSIVE OBAMA VOTER FRAUD

With accusations of voter registration fraud swirling as early voting begins in many states, some Hillary Clinton supporters are saying: “I told you so.”

Already in Iowa, the Obama campaign was breaking the rules, busing in supporters from neighboring states to vote illegally in the first contest in the primaries and physically intimidating Hillary supporters, they say.
