Her husband works for McCain. She did an "interview" with McCain where she pretty muched kissed his bum and brown nosed. SHe's a McCain Minion, and that is they're problem. Also, your claim that BARACK's grandmother claims he was born in Kenya has no proof other then a republican claiming that she said it.

Phillip Berg who is making these claims about Obama's grandmother is a Democrat.

That Republican says he has her on tape, asserting that Barry was born in Kenya and that she was in the delivery room. Convenient how you dismiss evidence that you don't LIKE to hear about isn't it, Gamergal?

If the Supreme Court does do something about this, I'm seriously going to LOVE to see the amount of whining that people like you do over it, because let's face it - you're in love with Obama. No amount of evidence will ever convince you that he's a bad man even if the court ruled that he was guilty. You would cry foul and whine about it until your cheeks exploded.

At least if the Supreme Court dismisses the lawsuit and Barry-O wins the election, us Republicans are prepared to accept defeat and brace for 4 years of the worst economic times this country has ever seen, while people like you will continue to blame the situation all on Bush.

Barry? Not Barack Obama, but Barry? So you admit it's not Barack but some Barry guy. Also, if he has it on tape, then play it! Except it doesn't exist.

The statement from his grandmother has not surfaced... just some claims circulating that she had stated that.

there is an alleged recording, but that is not available that I could find on the internet either.

These are absolutely baseless claims.

secondly, this conversation is way off topic...

remember the new ATS rules about making claims without credible sources...

First, it was Biden, not Obama. Second, HER HUSBAND IS A CAIMPAIGN WORKER FOR MCCAIN! Thus why her softball interview with McCain and her Republican Talking Points "interview" with Biden.

GG, please read all the words in a post before you reply to it. RR said "Obama camp", not just "Obama". Most people understand this wording to refer to anyone working on the Obama campaign, and not Obama himself. That said, it is apppropriate because Biden would be considered a member of the Obama camp.

That explanation made, I have to agree that the title doesn't seem to go with exactly what happened. If you just add the word "Further", then the title works. And of course either campaign is free to choose who they talk to - as it should be.

Here's the link from the story. Whether the tape actually exists or not remains to be seen. I would have a hard time believing that Berg would be appealing this case all the way up to the Supreme Court is he DIDN'T have such a tape, wouldn't you agree?

For example, regardless of whether it could be attached to the proceeding as it goes through the appellate process, Berg said, he is in possession of a native-language audiotape of Sarah Obama, Barack Obama's paternal grandmother, stating on the day of the last presidential debate that her famous grandson was indeed born in Kenya

Just because the evidence isn't made available for public scrutiny doesn't mean the claims based on that evidence are baseless.

If that were true, many police investigations where crucial evidence not revealed to the public, would be dismissed on lawyer appeals because the charges would be "baseless", all because they were not shared with the public. The fact is, there's good reason in some cases NOT to share the evidence with the public.

The source is here, FYI: www.americasright.com...

So whether it's true, we don't know yet, but baseless? Hardly. YOU WANT the claim to be baseless because YOU WANT the attacks against YOUR CANDIDATE to stop. That's the real truth here.

I never claimed to support, or not support Obama, so please don't jump to conclusions.

your argument comparing police investigations to the claims made against Obama is way off base.

Law Enforcement don't reveal details of their criminal investigations because it could comprimise the investigation.

however, Berg has claimed to have the evidence in hand. however, it is not made available to the public. He was seeking a court order claiming that Obama is not qualified to run for president. Accusations of this sort do demand evidence. If his goal was to keep a person that is Constitutionally restricted from gaining the white house, he could simply release it to the public and he would not be elected.

Instead he is following one of the basic rules of any successful hoax... Claim to have evidence, and not produce it.

I do not have to disprove Berg's claims if he refuses to prove them. The burden of proof lies on the individual making the sensational claim.

There is conclusive evidence that Obama is qualified to run for president.

McCain is also qualified to run, after an act of congress made it possible.

I want attacks on either side to cease unless there is sufficient evidence.

however, I digress, and this post is way off topic... can we please return to the topic in the original post per ATS rules :www.abovetopsecret.com...

Excuse me folks, but you seem to have forgotten what the title of this thread is.

Obama Campaign Cuts Off Interviews With Florida TV Station

What does where Obama place of birth have to do with this?

And just for the record: For those that think it is an issue, have you stopped to consider if it is an issue why isn't the GOP running with it? Have you stopped to consider why this supposed issue has been regulated to the fringe? The same goes for the Obama supporters who claim this is a GOP tactic. Have you stopped to consider if it is, why the GOP isn't running with it, or why the supposed issue has been regulated to the fringes?

Again, they don't want to deal with a Minion of McCain. They had no problem with the interview or the questions but the Minion of McCain....

Sorry, but that is nothing but an outright attempt at distraction. It makes no difference if she is a McCain supporter (and saying "minion" has the connotation that she is somehow evil for her political beliefs. That is both shameful and immature). They do not want people talking about issues that might embarass them, and thus seek to make the issue the reporter.
By making her political support an issue, they seek distract from any hard questions or uncomfortable issues their answers may raise.

Regardless of any reporter's political beliefs, they have a right to ask questions of the candidates, and the candidates should be prepared to answer them.

If they are saying their problem with her is her politics and not the questions, they are lying. If she had asked easy questions, we would not be having this discussion. Their issue, no matter what lies they are telling or that you choose to believe, is that she asked questions that made them uncomfortable.

With regards to the interview itself; I find it strange that Biden didn't jump at the chance to disavow all notions that Obama is a Marxist (something that was alluded to by way of a question (meaning it could have been easily been denied and countered by Biden), but not said outright; something that i think neither West nor the station should be accountable for. In fact, it's a bit unsettling that he just kind of blew off the question and the Obama campaign denied further interviews with, not just West, but the station itself.

I'm not altogether sure I want someone in office who 1) doesn't take the opportunities given to him and 2) refuses to take a bad situation in stride. This is all I've gleaned from the issue.

I also find it odd that the media largely skipped over things such as Obama's connections with Bill Ayers and ACORN in favor of more...frivolous stories (such as "Joe the plumber" not being an actual plumber, a story that serves no purpose whatsoever).

This issue is that Obama and Biden are socialists, if not outright communists.

They are dodging questions from the media about their socialist beliefs. Doesn't matter who works for who, or who is related to who when asking the question.

The question remains the same whether asked by a Democrat or Republican:

What makes Obama and Biden not socialist, if they are espousing the core belief of socialists?

I'm just saying they need to answer this question. If they are not socialist, then they should rescind their stance that they are going to "spread the wealth around."

I doubt they'll do that, however. Their only option, with a week to go before the election, is just to dodge the question as best as they can, and hope that not too many people saw that interview.

Not just like in Florida. I doubt the people in PA are working for McCain like this McCain Minion in Flordia. Compare the McCain Minion interview with McCain and then to Biden and see just how biased she was.

I haven't read every response to this thread, but for those who claim this is only the rantings of a blog, it was written by Hal Boedeker, who works for the Orlando Sentinel.

Biden so disliked West's line of questioning that the Obama campaign canceled a WFTV interview with Jill Biden, the candidate's wife.

"This cancellation is non-negotiable, and further opportunities for your station to interview with this campaign are unlikely, at best for the duration of the remaining days until the election," wrote Laura K. McGinnis, Central Florida communications director for the Obama campaign.

McGinnis said the Biden cancellation was "a result of her husband's experience yesterday during the satellite interview with Barbara West."

The blacklisting comes directly from the Obama campaign.

Joe the Plumber asked a tough question, and they dug into his past. He is a private citizen.

Is this what we should expect from an Obama administration?

This was a partisan hackjob. I saw the "interview"......She barely let's him sit down before she's quoting Marx and saying "that's what Obama wants, right?"
There is a difference between tough questions,.....and a blatant attack.

She wouldn't have gotten the Bill O. seal of approval last night without without being Fox's type of "Fair and Balanced".
