i watched a documentary called "Uncounted" by David Earnhardt and it list and talks about so many controversial issues with voting and provides the evidence. so why are these people still in office and still trusted. is america truly this powerless.

UNCOUNTED WEBSITE

im wondering if any of you have seen it. it is a great documentary if you havn't but i want this stuff to be discussed here.

ive provided 2 examples that stuck out in my head while i was watching and we need to be mindful of whats going on and keep an eye on election '08. tell others and soread this documentary around.

the lady demonstrated on camera how the machine changed the vote and it wasnt because it needed recalibration.
she touched the person, then it asked her was she sure, she pressed yes, and it showed the name who she voted for in huge letters and she pressed ok or somthing to the effect.(dont remember exactly what it said.

but the point is when she went through the process that the campaign worker or whoever tallies the machines, when it showed the tallies and showed that she voted for the other person.

just putting that out there.
documentary called "uncounted" by David Earnhardt.

also, another guy, Clint Curtis, he running this year supposedly. he demonstrated how a hack could be implemented into the voting machines easily to flip the votes in in the other guys favor 51% to 49%.

he ran in 2006 and he lost by a small margin, like 43% to 57% and he went around in an area to ask people personally door to door who they voted for and a majority said they voted for him and he had the affidavids to prove that he should of won but the house refused to review them.

shows that there are some seriously screwed up things in our government. by the way he was democrat.

And of course you have proof to back up your statement? Of course you don't. You're trolling, yet again.

I would be interested to see your proof too.

Many people from both sides seem to have a vested interest in Diebold, at least that is what I would think.

In any case, democracy in America seems to be a very expensive, complex and failure-prone exercise.

I've only just begun to wrap my head around the electoral college system you guys have.

Wow. That's how German kings were selected...

Adding these voting machines into the mix don't seem to help at all, especially when they don't even register votes at times, no matter who "owns" them.

No paper trail to keep an eye on the process, but I suppose it saves some trees.

I was under the impression that since the 2000 election, the democrats have bought and now own a slight majority of the machines and their companies. Smart move.

that is an interesting statement but i can believe it. of course we need proof but as for the whole voting thing. its beggining to be a catch 22. if you dont vote, the wrong person will get in office but if you do and he doesnt win, they can put him in if they wanted.

All reports have all said "I voted Obama, the machine chose McCain." Never has it been the other way around. Coincidence? They claim its not calibrated right, but you'd think that at least by chance one would switch from McCain to Obama but none have been reported. Anyways, I voted already, and am ready to watch the news waiting for the news!

What suprises me is that in lieu of the 2001 "Presidential Appointment" and the 2004 manipulations specifically in certain Key States, resulting in an incumbant victory, Is that there still is not a National Procedure to have every State's Voting Rules and every one of each States Citizens Votes cast to be Uniform. Standardized and A Compliance Bill that would make it a Felony to compile lists of convict names that are similar to the law-abiding and use it to disenfranchise voters, and make it a Felony to mail certified mailings that if returned to sender are considered false addresses to the corresponding voter, when not being available to receive the "mail" is for the most part due to being at work or in Iraq/Afganistan/other Tour, yet another way to disenfranchise Voters and Many Military Service Men and Women who use absentee ballots and will never be informed of such exploitation upon their rights, and other lawless-like maneurvers executed by ruthless - win at any means - Defiling the 1965 Voting Act and any law that may result in a fair and just election. Whether it is the corrupt associates of politicians, their party reps, Companies paid to compile documents that are knowingly fraudulent and attack Citizens rights, without regard to the damage created and with no recourse for most of these victimized Citizens. This would include influential shadow organizations with their own covert agendas as well.
Charges should be filed against all of them, and that they should know better than playing dumb i.e., a compatmentalized unknowing pawn or such defense, For, a 4th grader could see the fault of these blatant crimes. We should pass the bill into Law and fill the court calendars to prosecute every last one.
Wouldn't that be a better result than giving these weasels promotions, larger contracts, attaboys, etc...?

Also, if a Casino can make a reliable electronic slot machine that gets a pounding and has to interpret choices by pushing buttons, screens, etc...and can do this reliably over and over, day in and day out, 24/7 for months between calibrations, and for years between failures,

Then Why can't This Electronic Voting Machine Making Company make a machine that works reliably for a few days every 2 to 4 years? And with a Receipt Printer Just like a Slot Machine? That way there would be a record of the votes. (Unless a vote flip program is executed like was testified to in front of congress by that programer (mentioned previously in this thread).

Here is the answer:
They can. Why don't they? Maybe if they were disenfranchised by pulling their contract and suing them for overcharging for a POS machine that is less accurate than a pick-a-vice-trained monkey that can repeatedly learn that addicting research pharma-medications will be dispensed when they touch the correct activator, and charging them with fraud so they can use the big house for their address next time they fill out their voter registration.

But alas, multi-million dollar reciprical contracts are deemed more appropriate these days.

Why I chose a paper ballot. That way I could write Ron Paul in. You can't with electronic machines.

No the Republicans wouldn't steal the election evar. If you look for it there was a report from 2004 where Diebold machines had given a 2,500-4,000 vote for Bush, in a ohio district/county, when the population of said area only had 1,000 registered voters.
