I was in the Boys and Girls club last night in Clifton NJ for an event and saw something that touched me. I could not stop reading it, more because of
were it was. Kids were playing indoor soccer and there was a party going on with about 200 people and there it was for everyone to see.
“If you are not willing to sacrifice your safety for freedom, than you do not deserve safety or freedom”
After some research I found “Benjamin Franklin” said it in 1775.
So our youth is tought this thinking but is it lost over time ?
Do you think these teachings will resurface when needed?
Unfortunately .. no, I do not think this philosophy will surface. Times have changed since that was first coined. People have unrealistic
expectations now, most of them .. encouraged by movies and tv in the main.
People these days flock to forums and chat rooms and talk about what they'll do, but in reality they don't do much. And the evidence is all around.
