As the election nears, Ron Howard is getting desperate.
In a video posted Thursday on Funnyordie.com, the actor-turned-director reprises his role on "The Andy Griffith Show" as a way to rally support for
Barack Obama.
While speaking into the camera, Howard has his beard shaved, dons a youthful red wig and puts on the kind of outfit he would have only worn as Opie
Taylor in the `60s.
"I've never done this before and I hope never to do it again, but I guess you could say I'm feeling pretty desperate these days," explains Howard.
"So as a demonstration of my sincerity, this is for you America."
Ron Howard, Henry Winkler and Andy Griffith go back in time and promote Obama. It sure was different... Not something I'd expect to see as a
promotional video.
I get a great jolt out of the views of the entertainment industry, who provided much of the distraction while the system was raping us. Ever hear the
expression "shut up and sing!"?
Nothing could be more true. I get such a jolt. Especially when thug entertainers try to suddenly go legit once they have wisdom in their bank
accounts. There may be one or two exceptions somewhere but first I would like to get a *pre-androgen* hair sample.
Besides Charlton Heston and Ted Nugent, I don't think there's been a single example of a good endorsement in history. Then again, the "Oi !"
energizer guy (JACKO) from the mid 80's was onto something too.
The way I look at it is,both those shows were taken off the air for good reason, and by them showing these commercials just justifys why they are no
longer taped, wow and another group of actors for Dems? who'd of thunk it
