That was smart. It's sad that it's like this nowadays. Did the kids ask why the stickers were off or are they typical innocent kids in their own world? I explained to my 12 year old daughter that we aren't putting anything out or on our cars because it could be dangerous. I didnt' want to scare her but at the same time, she has to know the truth that the situation could easily get out of hand - no matter which way the election goes.

Anybody check to see if this guy has a pellet gun? I'm just saying...

Seems like there are quite a few McCain signs and bumper stickers bringing on non-serious "attacks"...

Ashley Todd, 20-year-old college student from College Station, Texas, admitted Friday that the story was false and was being charged with making a false report to police, said Maurita Bryant, the assistant chief of the police department's investigations division. Police doubted her story from the start, Bryant said. Todd, who is white, told police she was attacked by a 6-foot-4 black man Wednesday night. She now can't explain why she invented the story, Bryant said.

Source.

Todd worked in New York for the College Republican National Committee before moving two weeks ago to Pennsylvania, where her duties included recruiting college students, the committee's executive director, Ethan Eilon, has said. Eilon declined to comment on the investigation Friday or to help The Associated Press contact Todd. Earlier Friday, police said they had found inconsistencies in Todd's story. They gave her a lie-detector test, but wouldn't release the polygraph results. Investigators also said bank surveillance photos did not back up the woman's initial story of being attacked at an ATM. Police interviewed Todd after she contacted police Wednesday night and again on Thursday, Bryant said. They asked her to come back Friday, ostensibly to help police put together a sketch of the man. Instead, detectives began interviewing her. "They just started talking to her and she just opened up and said she wanted to tell the truth," Bryant said.

No they didn't ask...3 years old and 8 months. The 3 year old knows who McCain and Obama are though since I watched both conventions. She lets me know everytime they are on the news.

The slur on the sign really suprised me though. I live in the Chicago area, though admittedly in an area that traditionally leans GOP. Other neighbors that had Obama signs told me that their signs were stolen out of their yard. It really is a strange political fever this time around, I guess there is a lot of general financial stress etc. that has ratcheted up the emotions.

Here's hoping everyone stays safe whatever side of the political fence you sit on.

I sincerely hope that girl gets help. She genuinely needs it.

The media spinning out the story as quick as possible on a relatively slow news day didn't help her chances of getting her life straightened out though. She doesn't need that kind of attention.

Ditto with this guys house getting shot up with a pellet gun...He says it was due to his support of McCain...Maybe, maybe not, but National News?

As a member of "Socialist Terrorist Minority Muggers for Obama" I want to say that we deplore the actions of the few who cast the veil of fear and anger over our nation's election process!

We at STMMFO along with Barack Obama do not support "political drivebys" the only valid and approved drivebys are gang related retaliation shootings. Barack Obama and STMMFO do not support or condone face carving of any type!

People let's not lose our minds!!
