The Hill...

Police departments in cities across the country are beefing up their ranks for Election Day, preparing for possible civil unrest and riots after the historic presidential contest.

Pretty amazing they are getting ready now for the 5417 to hit the fan.
I think that this is a view of things yet to come.

They police here in Chicago will have unprecedented security measures
in place on election night. There is going to be a huge rally downtown.
If Senator Obama wins, he will be there for the outdoor celebration
party. If he loses..the police will be ready for +100,000 disappointed
attendees.

Great!, let all the stupid idiots that vote for these two shams, kill each other off, I say hand them ak 47's and pipe bombs and tell them to go at it.

We will thin the heard of all the sheeple and get down to some real elections where the people left arn't blinded by the media's preference of candidates.

I cant see the sheeple rioting.. that's work and we all know how lazy Average Americans are.. heck majority on any election is non voters.. there are more non voters than voters for any particular candidate..

The KKK and Skin heads may cause some trouble if Obama is elected.. but i don't see the elderly getting there electric wheelchairs and rolling on the streets if Obama wins. I dont see the youth vote that obama seems to have taking up arms if he looses.. Honestly Americans are not that ambitious... that's why we have not had out congress critters on pitch forks yet.. after that bailout bill stunt they pulled, they should have been shish-ka-bob.

yeah I don't think the police will be ready to deal with a crowd of 100+ thousand. Police aren't machines, they will fear being outnumbered by that much and won't do much good. Its not worth dying for their $35,000/year jobs.

It might be another LA riot all over again....

Researchers are warning of potential problems during the US election with record numbers set to vote and many states using new voting machines.

BBC News

It seems the tempers are going to be getting high even before the winner is announced. I have been worried about this for quite some time now. Only time will tell in these troubling times.

Yeah but racial riots are more possible then political riots with the age of idiots and stupid liberals these days that don't care about anything more then a confederate flag waving in someones front yard.

Then they will take action, but if our politicians want to sell out our country, then they don't care as long as anyone isn't getting offended.

What if they prove that Obama is not a citizen? Could cause unrest.

I can foresee riots if Obama looses. Nothing will happen if McCain looses. That fact alone speaks volumes about who draws what type of supporters to themselves.

I'm sure many cities have possible problems if Obama looses. New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and possible a couple more. I'd assume they would concentrate on area's where the residents have acted like animals in the past and concentrate manpower there.

I would hope that nothing happens if Obama looses and people respect the voters wishes. I honestly do.

I beleive if there were anything to that, the RNC would have been all over it long ago. Just Partisan nonsense by poor sports. Hillary would have been all over that like stink on a skunk in fact.

The more responses the more something means something.
I think now there would be some type of outrage.

Prob just small riots, dont think it will go any farther then that.
Especially if it is really close, but is all speculation, he might win by alot.

The problem is clearly if Obama looses. The damn polls are an issue too. They are so unreliable and if Obama looses their inaccuracy might be a catalyst. They should outlaw polling from thirty days out through the election anyway.

I remember all the media hype (hope?) for riots at the Democratic
National Convention in Denver. According to the MSM, Denver
would burn if Hillary wasn't chosen at Obama's running mate.
As far as I know, Denver was quiet and is still on the map today.

Not the same thing at all. If Obama looses the nationals with those polls showing him that far ahead, all hell could break loose in Chicago.

The stupid media didn't learn from their numerous past mistakes during
the Primary season. They're still standing outside the polling places
and asking we early voters how we voted. Everyone's saying, "Oh I
voted for Obama!" The pea-brained poll takers/media believe it and
are now starting to report a potential Obama landslide.

We, the listeners are sucking it up or they would not be doing that. I've thought since Clintons (Bill) first run that the polls should be stopped weeks prior too the election. Certainly they should outlaw exit polling.

But......exit polling is the only semi accurate judge of what actually happened.

Has anyone here seen the documentary "Hacking Democracy"? It's about the aftermath of either the 2000 or the 04 presidential election in Florida. Bev Harris of blackboxvoting was requesting actual poll tapes. She found them in garbage bags, storerooms etc. It was quite horrifying to see how easily an election can be fudged.

My husband and I were talking about riots and the election last night. We both feel strongly that there will be riots if McCain is chosen as the winner. With so many people feeling so strongly for Obama, we can see it happening, especially in major cities.

Remember remember, the 5th of November...

The sheeple are not much for organization around peaceful or effective causes, but they are much more prone to riot should things not go their way. So, I disagree with you.

I was in LA during the riots in the 90s. That place was total chaos. I live on the aouthside of Chicago in a neighborhood that is 98% black and I am white. Should Barack lose, the potential for some to take to the streets is highly probable. I sure don't want to end up like Reginald Denhey over this!

I say, be prepared for the worse and take care of your own. You never know what angry people will do.
