UFO over Highland, Illinois???

I was on Facebook this morning before work and noticed that one of my 'friends' status was "Scared about UFO sighting over Highland, Illinois...".

Now before I posted this I went on Google and researched it a little bit, but all I found was information dating back to 2000 about a sighting that had occurred...

Have you guys heard anything about a sighting? It had to be recent because it was a status change that had occured in the past so many hours.

Another interesting thing I found on Google was that a Singer/Songwriter (much like myself -- see signature) named Sufjan Stevens has a song called "Concerning the UFO Sighting Near Highland, Illinois". They very well could have been listening to this song or something... But I was just wondering if you guys have heard anything about it recently?

The Taurids, as well as other minor meteor showers are very active at the moment, but the Orionids especially so - I was watching them myself last night.

There were a few reports this morning about orbs around Rockford (but that's quite a ways from Highland).

The Highland UFO he was referring was probably the one that flew over Belleville/Swansea/New Athens about 8 years ago. There have been several Discovery Channel specials on it.

There were TONS of people who saw that one.

But why almost 9 years later is he scared? Facebook wasn't around then so it's gotta be new... lol

It may be the Orionids, though. That would explain the Rockford thing this morning also.

Folks around Scott AFB are a little jumpy about UFOs. There have been lots of sightings there since the 40s, and there was a report of a craft crashing in Cape Girardeau, MO, not long after Roswell.
