Why cover up Bigfoot?

Why in the world would the government and academia care about Bigfoot? Why cover it up? I understand covering up aliens. If they can get here, they are smarter than us.

Bigfoot is not a threat to civilization, anymore than sharks. I've eaten in seafood restaurants with Great Whites and Hammerheads on the walls and on the menu. We're the apex predator on this planet.

But why would the government or academia care one way or the other about another monkey, even a big one?

My theory: There is no concrete proof that humans evolved from monkeys or that tweety birds evolved from T-Rex's. Only theories of highly educated people. There are NO intermediate species. No smoking gun, no concrete proof! I'm not saying they are wrong, just that there is no proof.

If Bigfoot is closer to us than baboons, could it be the proof? Or could it be more evidence against? Either way, creationists(government) and evolutionists(government/academia) both would be scared of Bigfoot DNA until it's been tested in secret.

What do you think?

theres plenty of proof of evolution, and birds evolved from the raptor family of dinosaurs not t-rex

why would evolutionism be afraid of bigfoot? theres already family tree's out there suggesting where yeti bigfoot orangpendek and other mystery pongoids might fit

for them to have survived undetected(to science) in the enviorments some of them exist in would be one hell of a suprise to biologists but wouldnt have any impact on evolution other then finding any new species of anything including bugs

Hey there, Mean Red Spider (loove the name, even though I'm deathly afraid of spiders, big red or otherwise...).

This topic is already being discussed here...

Bigfoot Coverup?

It's an older one, but it got bumped a while back.

Thread Closed.

My opinion is Bigfoot is as real as the underpants nomes. Nice stories to scare you at a campfire, but if he really existed, shouldn't there have been a tiny bit of proof (bones) over the years. Not just plaster casts of foot prints. It is much easier to believe in the Beer Fairy. She is a hot blonde (think german beer girl) and she distributes tasty malt goodness to all the good boys who believe in her. (Just say I believe in the Beer Fairy 3 times)
