Printed below is an admission by the Uk govt that NBC scientists from Porton down have been deployed tactically to various places across the UK on actiive service.

This means to the average guy that on multiple occasions the MOD/ Police have decided that there was a clear NBC hazard created by terrorist that required their attention. You guys can debate the pros and cons all you need but to me it proves the Islamic extremists and possibly others are still trying to cause another large scale 911 scenario in the UK. As an individual citizen theres little you can do, but as survivalists you can take sensible steps to try and insulate yourselves from whatever is coming. IE if you live in large towns and cities move out, If you cant then dont shop in huge malls, dont use public transport, stop using planes, do your shopping by mail order etc etc.

Army scientists 'deployed in UK'
Scientists from Porton Down have been deployed in the UK a "number of times this year", the government's head of counter-terrorism has told MPs.

The lab mainly specialises in nuclear and biological warfare but the reason for the deployments is not known.

Brigadier Chip Chapman told a committee of MPs he could not go into details for national security reasons.

The Commons defence committee is probing the UK's level of readiness for a terrorist or other emergency.

Lord West said ministers did not know the location and capability of all deployable troops in the UK at any one time but he was confident they could find out "straight away" in the event of an emergency.

The security minister said government agencies were now better informed about the counter-terrorism forces and scientific capabilities available to them - and a compendium had been made available to officials.

Major emergency

Brigadier Chapman told MPs "immediate response" teams from the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL) had been deployed on a number of occasions in the past year.

"The number of occasions they have been used and the circumstances I can not go into in this forum," said Brig Chapman.

To stop this radicalisation and extremism is going to take - and I get into trouble for saying this - about 30 years
Lord West

The DSTL, which is based in Wiltshire, is the UK's leading biological and chemical defence research centre.

It also develops a range of other technologies for military and civilian use, including X-ray scanning equipment and armour.

On the broader question of whether the UK was prepared for a major incident, Lord West confessed he did not know how many hospital beds could be made available in the event of an emergency of the order of 10,000 deaths.

But he said the Department of Health "would know" the figures and plans would be coordinated by the government's emergency planning committee Cobra.

Radicalisation

The security minister also said progress was being made on preventing young people becoming "radicalised" but he said it was going to be a long process.

He said he accepted Britain's foreign policy was a "problem" for some young Muslims but the government was now "engaging" with them.

"This is isn't going to change just like that. To stop this radicalisation and extremism is going to take - and I get into trouble for saying this - about 30 years, I think.

"But it will become a virtuous circle, it will start getting better and better and we have to embark on it and the recognition of that I think is one of the big things that has happened over the last 15 months."

He said Britain could not "arrest and protect ourselves out of this problem" and the government was "putting work into prisons, into places of worship, into sports clubs" to tackle extremism.

But he added: "I don't pretend for a moment that we are nearly there. I regularly go out and talk to youngsters and some of the reactions I find just amazing, because you think 'how on earth can you believe that' but you need to have a dialogue."

Maritime security

Lord West was also quizzed on whether the government was actively studying ways in which terrorists could launch an attack on the UK.

He said "red teaming," as such scenario planning was known, did take place to a limited degree and various "what if" scenarios were constantly being worked through, including how terrorists might target the UK's financial system.

He also raised concern about maritime security, saying that there was still no way of tracking all shipping movements in British waters.

"In the skies, we pretty well know what is moving, but we don't know that in the waters around our country," he said.

Lord West also stressed that the government's counter-terrorism strategy had saved "hundreds if not thousands of lives".

The peer said he could not go into details about specific plots but measures such as doubling the size of the security services and increasing surveillance were working.

The government is due to publish a new national security strategy next spring, Lord West told the MPs, and it was preparing to unveil plans to make intelligence chiefs give evidence in public, something first flagged up in March.

Explaining the delay, Lord West said the prime minister had been "busy with other things".

He said the government was still considering appointing a minister to act as a "national security adviser," similar to the role played by Condoleezza Rice in the US.

Armed Forces Minister Bob Ainsworth was quizzed about plans to shoot down passenger jets judged to be a threat.

He assured the committee that the final decision would rest with "an elected minister" and that steps had been taken to protect RAF pilots from the psychological impact of shooting down a civilian aircraft.

This can mean one of two things (or possibly both):

Either he's (The Army Brigadier) telling the truth and terrorists are posing a much bigger threat than imagined OR it's a front to garner support for MORE security forces and surveillance in the UK. NWO option.
Either of these are bad but the latter is much worse IMO

I personally would lean towards the true case being the latter.

This is more or less they way I think of it as it occurs in the US

there are constant scare scenarios about 'TERRORISTS ' getting ahold of Nukes and biological and chemical weapons.

Now really if the 'TERROISTS 'get these where will they get them?
from gov't facilities that make and research them? But can't seem to keep them out of the hands of 'TERRORISTS'?

Really? Srsly?

Meanwhile, the 'terrorists' are lying around a campfire in a far off cave, smoking herbal sheesha and discussing how pretty the mountains are at this time of year and admiring each others beards.

This Lord West guy seriously needs a slap around the chops.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Hence the rant thread about guess whooo... Lord West.

Well I do have to admit that I live away from any major cities, just a couple of towns around and I have seen an increase in the number of official vehicles saying things like "scientific support" and such.

EXACTLY! who has the means and the training to and the motivation to unleash chemical biological and nuclear weapons at random into the population?

why THE MILITARY ! there are no 'terrorists!'

not the omniscient, omnipotent ,omnipresent , ten foot tall bullet proof ones of
propagandized legend anyway.

this is such a crock of crap, I'm madder at the morons who throw their freedoms away and then hide under the covers awaiting their well deserved fate ,than I am at the Evil One World megalomaniacs.

Oh and 'THEY' aren't ten feet tall and bullet proof either
if they are trusting their future to the same immoral, greedy frat boys that made this mess ,trust me they're in a world of hurt

There were Muslim social problems in the 60s too and not many people knew about it or still don't know about it but it kept growing behaind closed doors. There are many social problems with Muslims not being able to adapt to our ways of life anyway. I believe a lot of this is being bread upon the land to cause unforseen troubles in society by allowing the money benefits to non Europeans to spiral out of control while the social tentions within society boils out of control while minorities are stuck in the middle waiting to blow. This is going on with the Mexicans in America who have caused a lot of death curruption and crimal behavour which to be used at political ends. This could have been planned for years to cause Chaos in order to imprison us. Italians have had many killing with Romanian Gypsies and Italy has now got the army patrolling the streets. This has aused the Italians to become racist or see as racist towards them because they want them deported. I am not sure if its just about the Romanians but unprovoked attacks and killings to Italians have occured from a high ratio number of specific incidents but its funny that this is growing in trend in terms of the Army helping out i the streets of Europe.

There are a lot of problems associated with immigrants and there failure to assimilate.

I honestly and without malice to any individual believe there are three sources ( or more ) of terrorism in the world today, one being Islams growing influence in the west, but I also believe that the EU is going to create a socialist super state by guile and deceit, But sadly, and very sadly at that I feel the US of A is becoming a rouge nation, and is getting way out of control in the last 8 or so years. When G W Bush annouced a war on terror I expected him to be honourable and round up all the wanted and convicted IRA gunmen and bombers living in places like Boston and Chicago, Instead when 16 Saudis plus a few Yemenis carried out the 911 atrocity, he attacked the wests only former ally in that area, Iraq, thus letting the boxed in Iranian muslim extremists loose. Now as many british journalists and commentators ask, is the US fighting the Axis of evil or is it part of it ?. As survivalists living on any continent I believe we have to watch within our borders as much as outside our borders.

Thank you, I say this because I am not being accused of Racism because I speak about immigration and other races. Many people just want to ignor the issues just for not wanting to appear as offensive when in fact the problem and the facts needs to be sorted and not have politicians heads in the sands making problems worse.

If people would shake off the overly touchy, politically correctness crap maybe we'd have some hope of sorting out the 'immigrant' problem.

Instead of pandering to a million cultures trying and failing miserably to please everyone,it should be..

It's Britain..if you want to be British,GREAT ..welcome..If you don't,then kindly sling your hook.

I would never go into someone else's house and start laying conditions for my visit.

It's not racist,it's not bigoted..It's simply trying to establish the same set of rules for everyone.

Funnily enough, things are so bad here now, that even immigrants are turning and going home.

(Those rules HAVE to stick for idiot Brits abroad too.You mess up,don't expect UK law to apply)

I my self would not go to Middle Easten countries for a Holiday out of choice and would probably avoid countries that I could end up making simple mistakes and going to prison for it like hugging your girlfriend or something. So let those countries walk on their dry sands and we walk on our muddy soil each one has its pros and cons. Only war can change countries and war is only because the battle is a forced invasion or liberating factor.

Remember, remember the Fifth of November,
The Gunpowder Treason and Plot,
I know of no reason
Why the Gunpowder Treason
Should ever be forgot.
Guy Fawkes, Guy Fawkes, t'was his intent
To blow up King and Parli'ment.
Three-score barrels of powder below
To prove old England's overthrow;
By God's providence he was catch'd
With a dark lantern and burning match.
Holloa boys, holloa boys, let the bells ring.
Holloa boys, holloa boys, God save the King!

You nailed it with that one the problem isn't where somebody comes from it's what they do when they get here . That turns out to be most times recreating the very thing they supposedly fled. My newest take on all this is most immigrants don't come here to be part of America they just come here to commit fraud and other crimes that are illegal in their country of origin. To me America is nothing anymore except a haven for organized crime

Actually, you've hit on something that makes me think with that li'l poem..

What was the method of creating panic to subdue the populace and then sweep to power by Chancellor Sutler in 'V for Vendatta'?

The St. Mary's virus...

How was the population made to believe that the responsible parties were 'immigrants...muslims...homosexuals' ?

BTN

remember..remember the 5th of November!

Well I have read many of Andy McNap's fictional stories and one of them depicts some pretty horrible things happening at Porton Down. Not really a lot I can say specifically except from do not trust the government (which we all know) and prepare for the worst (again we all know this)

I just recently saw '28 Days Later' and a small detail mentioned as a side-effect of the nationwide pandemic jumped out...

The father and daughter holed up in the tower block tried to collect rainwater from the roof, and he mentions that just a few days after the evacuation order and society stopped functioning, the rain stopped falling over London

if you think about it, the amount of rain that the country is known for is largely influenced by many tons of pollution particles in the air from vehicle exhausts/industry/etc which water vapour condenses around and then falls as rain.

Take away that man-made influence and the weather patterns rapildly change, as was shown during the 3-day grounding of all continental US flights on 9/11, which was enough to alter the climatic ambient avg temps, so changing weather patterns (thank BBC Horizon 'Global Dimming' for that one)

During a long-term event, what would happen to small bug-out-location water sources that may be dependant on?
