B-1R?

maybe i am behind the curve on this. i saw a program called "future Dogfights" that showed the B1-R, which was basically a air to air missle platform assisting F-22's and F-35's. Anyone know any more about this B-1? is it for real or just a show trying to create something?

I know there were at least two others threads relating to the B-1R program, my understanding is that it exists only on paper, and nothing more. I never followed up on it though, so that information may not be true. I'd check those threads for information.

At this point it is true that is only on paper. Its worth noting as well that the interim bomber solution that is was designed to fill is no longer the route that the air force claims to be taking. Though that it is worth noting that it is an interesting solution that may have less challenges then other projects but it may be to late for a platform like that to viable.
