The legal hurdles that API feared in connection with the release of the tape has now been settled. The American people has soon to be treated to the truth about the true personality of their (probably) incoming first Lady. API is soon to conclude an agreement on which of the media channels in the US is to air the Michelle Obama tapes. This has come about because many news channels have shown great interest in getting the tapes so that they air to the American people before the elections.

byron york of the corner had to inform his readers is indeed fake. i repeat: right-wing operatives are trying to smear mrs. obama and have proven they'll do anything to win mccain the presidency. as for this so called, audiotape? i know it will be proven it isn't her voice on the tape.
there's a huge difference between the campaigns.
mccain's is slimey and desparate.
obama's isn't slimey and desparate.

Ultimately, why is this story in particular so upsetting or important to you? Do you believe this has anything whatsoever to do with how this human being's husband will perform as your president? There are many more pressing issues, actual issues, things that matter we should focus on-

I appreciated your post regarding your background check of API - it showed me your thought process and the discussion was relavant. I believe this idea - the breaking down of news to commentary without fact is the real story - one that perhaps we can address via President Obama.

Agreed. I too am looking for the truth. I just think it's these types of stories that get us off the real topics, debase us as a species, and do nothing to further a dialogue to advance in meaninful ways, imo.

I guess I'll try again; I am just asking because it does not make sense to me. Why is this an important story - made up or not? What does this have to do with any of our lives? Why, instead of focusing your energy on something positive is it focused on this idea?

If you'd like, I can provide you with articles that state much worse about each person. Will this help you in making your choice? Does it matter if they are true or not? Why do you have a clear anger towards this man?

For a junior senator who doesn't have the experience to be President, he sure has A LOT of influence around the world, eh? Somehow this guy is suddenly directly influincing WORLD affairs? He has "ties" to "muslim terrorists?" Did he meet them while in his congressional office?

These types of "important" stories that certain "types" are trying to discourage people from discussing; please, continue to discuss amongst yourselves. Like you said, you've been here so long (almost a year!) and it's really hard because rational thinking people actually think about things that are important, not this. By the tenor of your last post, and the simple refutation of simple questions, I'll assume you know what is best. Remember; if Obama is elected, here is what YOU believe will happen:

We will become a communitst/socialist state
Obama will openly mandate that we flood the country with illegal muslim immagrants and impose Sharia Law.
Because of Obama's hatred for white people, he will...what, I still can't figure out what white people are scared of. What is it again he's going to do to disadvantage, "white people?"
ALL guns will immediately be confiscated.
There will be hedonistic orgies at the whitehouse confirming that Obama is Satan.

At least there will be some good headlines to post, yes? The ideas proposed are beyond outrageous for any rational dialogue. Again, talk yourself until you are blue in the face. Obama is going to win and none of the things that you so firmly believe are going to come true, and you will be a prideful, spiteful human regardless.
