I was an EMT in Nye County where Paramedics or Emts would NEVER refuse to take care of anyone. If the patient does not want help he must sign an AMA
release. (against medical advice). No matter how you feel, towards the patient care must be given. You do not determine whether something was done
deliberate or not. Addiction to drugs is a disease when do you draw the line?
FreeMason,
What if you were at a party and someone spiked your drink? On the way home you caused an accident killing everyone except yourself. You are bearly
alive. What if the Paramedics did this. Using your quote.
"I think it would be justice if when some stupid "Raver" ODs and the medics arrive, pull up a chair and just watch them twitch on the floor, and
someone says, "Why don't you help them!" or something like that.
And then Paramedics respond coldly and effeciently, "Hey man, we're only here to take away the body."
Hey, it would make my day shorter and less paper work. But seriously " Where do you draw the line?"
