BROOKHAVEN LAB REPORTS ARE A FRAUD

By Philip Mantle

October 12th 2008.

For immediate release

It would seem that I have been the victim of a cruel fraud and that Dr R.Ronald Rau of the Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) has been the victim as well.

I am a UFO researcher and author in the UK. Last year I visited a location in the New Mexico desert that a colleagues believes is the location of a UFO crash. There are various anomalies there and I brought back some rock samples. Earlier this year I was contacted via email by a Dr Ronnie Milione from New York. During an email conversation I mentioned these rock samples and he informed me that he had a colleague at the Brookhaven National Laboratory who could take a look at them for me. I sent the rock samples to Milione and just a few weeks ago the lab reports were sent to me. These are attached for your attention. If anyone would like a copy please feel free to contact me direct.

Philip, it's very sad what has happened: thank you for taking the time to clarify it; i'll post the links to the relevant discussions on ATS, so the mods/site owners will be able to update their titles with some appropriate label:

PRESS RELEASE: Brookhaven Scientist Confirms UFO Crash Site

UFO researcher to unveil Roswell findings

Mornin' Forumerions,

Having already expressed my sentiments to Philip personally, and realizing that this can't be undone; there is some solace that can be had; that is, the "machinery" caught the bad cog!

Part of that machinery was "The UFO Chronicles" publishing the press release as sent to us by Philip, and then sharing here at ATS. As the story "got legs" The Brookhaven Labs" people got wind of it (I noticed their ISP all over the article at UFO Chronicles) consequently, someone (here at ATS) going by the handle of "Pete G., " stating that he was with Brookhaven claimed "fraud!"

Although it's not certain if in fact that person is the "Peter Genzer" at Brookhaven, (however, I'm thinking they're one and the same now) it compelled me to do some quick investigation and inform Philip; he acted immediately and discovered the truth, which precipitated his public statement.

One correction is that BNL "did not contact me directly; I was alerted to the possibility of fraud by the post found here at ATS (part of the machinery).

Regards,
Frank

You deserve a lot of credit for being honest. There are too many researchers out there who want the truth so bad they are willing to stretch their claims. The ones who perpetrated the fraud will have to answer to their conscious and perhaps to some legal means.
The truth is out there, and some times it is not what we wish it was.

So you telling me the reports we heard of in the last few days of materials of ET origin found in New Mexico and analyzed were actually the result of a fraud?

What a surprise! another hoaxer.

It is these kinds of people that have completely tarnished the decades long research efforts of respectable people like scientists trying to get to the bottom of this. It is for this reason that disclosure has never occurred and probably never will.

I find less and less reason to be optimistic these days considering the amount of hoaxers and frauds that are exposed all the time, and unfortunately the UFO community usually support and endorse these type of hoax cases. Will the situation ever change? I won't cross my fingers for the 14th... which is obviously another hoax.

Do you still have some samples of these rocks, if so are you planning to have them analysed from elsewhere?.

I do have samples of the rocks here in the UK and my colleague Ed in the USA will be visiting the site in New Mexico again shortly to obtain further samples. I will gladly make these available to any bona fide scientist for examination.

As for Milione I am seeking legal advice as we speak. Please spread the word about this fraud so that others are not caught out by him in the future.

Thank you to everyone on ATS who have given me ca lot of support. The full details will hopefully be in the next issue of UFO DATA MAGAZINE (www.ufodata.co.uk). Beware of men with PhD's fromk now on.

Kind regards,

Philip Mantle.

It may be better in the future to send portions of materials to different University labs for more than one test. If one has three tests done at three different places that result in a strange find, that would bolster the evidence.

Great, just great. Dismiss holders of PhD's because someone who allegedly holds a PhD is a fraud. Yep, just can't trust them edumacated types.

Better idea: Do your homework. You are a "publisher". Isn't it your job to confirm your sources? Before publicly endorsing someone just because they have a PhD, look for other work by the good "doctor". Work that is in a field related to the topic. Look for peer reviews of that work.

And yes, a claim of this magnitude should be confirmed by more than one source before being released. But then you're not used to working with real evidence are you?
