I have been a member for a while even though my stats do not f=reflect that, I have been knocked down a few times for voicing my opinion.

I am very much aware of the global situation and have been reading, watching and hearing all kinds of alarming misinformation about the US!
Yes I've seen a US Marine toss a puppy over a cliff on youtube. Yak yak yak Banks are going under blah blah blah Russia, China, Iran, Georgia and my cousin Vinny!


Blah blah blah yak yak yak!



If someone is going to base their view of the US on one Marine or the ignorance of one US president they are sadly mistaken.


America remember, we carved out a nation, we have gone from the poorest 13 colonies to the richest most powerful nation. We had to do some “Banking Magic “and are now paying for it. But we landed on the moon, We reached out and touched the face of God.



We fought and helped our European allies not once but twice in two major world wars. We have two of the longest unmilitarized boarders, yes guarded but still no conflicts. LOL What are we afraid of? Canadian Lager and Mexican Coronas?


I’m of American Indian decent with European blood thrown into the mix. So my view has been tainted!



All of this that I read and hear makes me sick. My son is in Iraq and I worry and pray for his safe return and the end to the violence. Having said that, Americans love the toughest boxer, the best ball player, The smartest nerd etc.


I don’t want to plagiarize Gen Patton so I'll stop there.





I live in this big country and have traveled abroad! I have been to Egypt, Greece, Canada, Mexico, Luxemburg, Berlin, Chicago, LA, NY, Baltimore, Portland, Disneyland, Universal Studios, and lived in Hollywood. Blah Blah Blah.

oh yeah, i totally agree.

we allow anyone to come here and live if they go through the proper legal channels, and sometimes they dont even have to do that.

i agree about the "blah blah blah / yakity smackity " BS that finds its only propagation here on ATS.

alot of people are going to feel really stupid in three months when they notice its been business as usual all along. stocks fluctuate. too many people here at ATS scream:

"the government wants to kill us /+/ give us more money uncle sam!"
