Planet's loneliest bug revealed

BBC NEWS LINK

A bug which lives entirely on its own and survives without oxygen in complete darkness underground has been discovered in South Africa.

Desulforudis audaxviator, or bold traveller as it is known in English, relies on water, hydrogen and sulphate for its energy.

closer and closer we edge until they day they finally admit/prove life is probably a lot more abundant than is told to the public.

every article i read this year seems to inch closer to this announcment.

Wow, I wonder how something like this would thrive in space?

in space not very well , although thier could be space creatures, orgsanisms but unlikely .

i think it bodes better fro the fact that life as we define it was always thought to need the big 2 Oxygen , water (( used to be big 3 (light)) but the deep sea creature got rd of the light theory,

Seems water is hanging on in their .. but as we know from phoenix , water on mars , snow on mars , i'm thinking water wont be a problem
