So the Dow tanked nearly 700 more points today, and our world is quickly changing before our eyes.

Are the powers that be still in control?

Are they orchestrating this mess or is this as a result of their understanding of change to come?

I believe "they" are pulling a lot of money out of the markets in anticipation of something to come.

I believe we will prevail through this storm and expect the next white house administration to make necessary changes, including abolishing the Federal Reserve Act and returning this country to its citizens instead of allowing the corporations to make all the rules.

And if not...

We need to stick together and do what we gotta do.

I grew up in Mount Vernon, a city in NY named after the home of George Washington.

I now live just miles from the birthplace of our country, where the British soldiers laid down their arms and surrendered in Saratoga, NY, in a town that was home to key battles in both the French and Indian War as well as the Revolutionary War.

Many men have died and bled for our freedoms that we now see ourselves losing. We are losing our ability to prosper as we are being enslaved by debt. We are being buried more and more with each bailout and the people on top are unscathed. Why?

Greed has taken over.

We all need to be on the same page to fix this.

Its way to easy to be swallowed up by it all as we are to busy to see what is taking place.

We all need to stop at the end of the day and put our heads together, and differences aside, and get back to basics.

George Washington must be turning in his grave.

What do you think?

The problems we are having now are direct result of congress (the president can't accomplish a damned thing without congressional approval). Blame COngress/

There are plenty of guilty players and they are on both sides of the room.
It's foolish to think this is solely the fault of Congress.

I agree that no one in Washington can get anything done, but I blame both parties.

They have all been pulling the wool over our eyes for long enough.

Obama or McCain, whomever shall be elected, best not continue to lead us down the same path.

That is an excellent point.

That should also be a clue as to the shyt we are in.

"We the people" became "they the corporations" a long time ago.

the economy is 'punch drunk'...
and the driving force of the reeling state-of-affairs, are those pampered, self indulgent, mis-educated folks who feel that they are the Aristocrats of the american socio-economic landscape.

a bunch of folks that 'sweat' only happens in the form of 'perspiration'...
perhaps in a gym or on a tennis court
'Sweat' to them is for the under-class, service industry workers.
but not for them... unless-> heaven forbid, the airconditioner breaks down

i'll stop before i get a warning..... thanks for listening this long

You are absolutely right.
That is hugely part of the problem.

What's really going on is that someone (a bildeberger or a trilat) decided it was 'time to push the button' and they did. This was in the works. It was all set and ready to go. A bildeberger gave the signal and POOOOF it all happened.

They have their reasons.

Nothing good for us!
