I've been in "Obama threat Orange" lately and am frantically acquiring all the "assault weapon" type items and arms that will potentially be banned and I came across the Type 03 FFL. I just sent my apps to the ATF and the local PD. I figured it's only $30 so WTH but can I get anything substantial, usable or worthwhile with it? Anybody else have one of these licenses?

I did some looking and apparently most Mausers, a lot of SKS's and a few M-1 Carbines qualify as C&R's.

Quite a few handguns too, semi's and revolvers.

Nice.

I too feel the same. I am buying an AR varient this weekend at a show. Get everything you can before NObama takes over. Wouldnt hurt to have it around when the SHTF either.

I wasnt aware that M4/AR could constitute as C&R. Supposedly those arent affected by a ban anyways. But considering Biden wants ALL auto and SEMI-AUTOs banned. That means, ANYTHING that does not require reloading after every shot. IE bye-bye to handguns, semi-shotguns, rifles, all of them. Stock up on some single shot 410s or something I guess.

During the last ban AR lower receivers manufactured prior to the ban (if ever built up as a pre-ban AR) could be built up as pre-ban AR during the ban. The policing of this was a nightmare I'm sure.

I've decided to forgo one of the full rifles I was buying and instead I'm going to pick up half a dozen stripped lowers, build each one up as no-ban, photograph them then dismantle them so I will have the parts and proof I'll need to create any no-ban AR variant without spending a ridiculous amount of money during the Obama ban. Stripped lowers can be had for ~$100 a piece. This assumes of course that all of what I have will be "grandfathered" in.

Yeah, cheaperthandirt has fairly cheap lowers. ~100 full or 80 stripped. Im just afraid they wont be grandfathered. Like to see them try and take them away!

How much does your standard dealer FFL cost?

I actually, just requested info, from the ATF site, for an application, for an FFL (01). I have been told that all those companies "promising to help you get an FFL", are all garbage. Any help/info you could provide, would be great!
