Looks to me like some kind of new banner ad for a new song.

Maybe it will be called "Obamma-Lamma-Ramma-Jamma".

Cheers!!!!

Well, ZEN means enlightenment. So I guess the point was to get people to learn about him.
I see no issue here

What about it?
Stars are a national symbol in our own flag.

Show me an owl, or cross, that is when you get my attention

I was expecting something a lot more controversial than what I saw.

Are you sure this is the correct URL?

What I saw was a bumper sticker, in red white and blue, which simply said "Obama 08", along with a URL to the "Democrat Super Store", where you can buy other bumperstickers and merchandise.

So the message they are sending: Elect Obama in 2008.

I think that is an appropriate message.

Red stars are generally used in communist countries.

We have white stars in our flag.

Okay, I missed that. (Should have read down a bit more.)

Yeah. I think that is probably sending a subliminal message that is probably not what most people want to see expressed.

So I get your point, and it is actually a good one.

The Obama marketing team has made a lot of poor decisions: the Presidential Seal ripoff is one example. In the final analysis, I'm not sure if it reflects that badly on the candidate himself.

There is no doubt that some radical elements are associated with both campaigns. (Where else would they go?)

Edit: One more note. Have you read the Da Vinci Code? You should consider becoming a "symbologist", like Robert Langdon.

I think that symbology is a valid philosophy and science.

Acutally the communist star is yellow, not red. At least it was for the old Soviet Union. Their flag was red yes, but the star was yellow in the flag.

All hail the red star!!!! Obama's new slogan eh?

Cheers!!!!

The Red Star has traditionally been linked to socialism in Europe. However, what this European - who also has socialist leanings - sees first, rather than a socialist symbol - is the insignia on American aircraft wings. Those little decal transfers that went on toy planes when I was a kid. I doubt my memory is accurate, and that it will be pointed out that the colours are wrong, but that's beside the point as I've already made that connection. The relationship between signifier and signified isn't one based on 'accuracy'.

Again, as a British 'socialist-lite', I see American symbolism, not something that has me checking my email for my latest update on the super-secret socialist takeover of America!

Red stars are generally used in communist countries.

They are also sometimes used on Rush album covers. Maybe Obama is a big fan of Canadian progressive rock. I will look into the 2112 connection and get back to everyone.

Good grief, not everything is some hidden message. Sometimes a cigar...is just a cigar.

If you put a white star, on a background that is already white, what happens? You don't see it.
Red White and Blue, those are our Country's colors. God forbid he uses one of the colors!
