I have no sound at work, care to provide a link to the story or tell us what Nick Pope is saying?

slightly misleading title. it's an interview with Nick Pope who is saying that the inaction in investigating sightings opens the UK up to regular visitations.

He's basically saying that the UK should investigate these sightings

Ill say this..it is certianly a way to stirr up panic and chaos for which would give governments a reason to declare martial law.

Quite ironic to call it a "warning" and that the skies should be "monitored" when they are already being monitored by just about everyone anyway.

It would be a sad situation indeed if these aliens come down here with the intent on helping Earth and humanity panics and fires the first shot of intergalactic war.

We do not know their intent, nor should media be labeling any story with "warning"....that is unless they already know what is going to happen and the "warning" sign is justified.

That's what Nick Pope has been saying for years now though isn't it?

He's suggesting that unless sightings etc are investigated we'll never know just how many visitations we are getting or what the agenda is.

Then again, how does he know that these investigations are not taking place at a much higher level than his old post?

Interesting that the BBC have picked it up though.

Well, your title is a little misleading but a good post none the less. It's actually nice to see the talking heads discuss this topic without treating the man like a nutter. Nick Pope certainly deserves this respect, and considering his resume, he has a tremendous amount of courage devoting his time and expertise to this subject.
