I'm just getting sick of these childish posts lately, but I see from your other posts you're not always like that, so don't take it personally.

But you did take it pretty far.

Just don't do that anymore man, I find it interesting to converse with the OP.

Dude, Culhail you need to chill out before you have a stroke. While I do not agree with some of the posters way of dealing with the post I feel like you are doing the same to them that they are doing to the OP. It is obvious from the links provided that the guy is probably a troll, plus he admitted to taking "something" to channel the trees. This is actually against forum policy being he admitted drug use. I am sure he is a big boy, or girl, and can defend himself.

So how bout everybody be friends and lets let the mods do the forum policing?

Mate, calm the heck down. I posted a few movie quotes, was asked to stop SO I DID. If I wanted to act like an arse I would have ignored the request to stop.

He is not doing the same, he's trying to keep these forums clean of these BS comments, as any good member should do, mod or not.

Plus, he is right about the rules.

Can't comment with respect and without ridicule, then don't.

Not to mention the off topic quoting of LOTR and Life of Brian.

hey.. I dont know what all the bickering is about... I was building a storage shed ..the other day.. and one of the boards hit me across the back of the head.. so this guy might have something about the trees being able to talk.. that board sure spoke to me.. and I had a few words for it too..

I'll apologize for getting all up in everyones faces, but, I honestly think that the crap I see in this thread alone is happening all over the boards and it has to stop for ATS to carry forward. The mocking, self-serving posts do nothing to get to the subject topic's core and find out what the "Odd" poster is really trying to get across.
I don't freak out about it often at all and usually just shake my head and move on, silently doing in my head what I've done in this thread. But, no more. I WAS a Moderator at one time and I gave it up for my sanity. I see these kinds of posts as actions to supress what ATS is for, and, I will NEVER give up on getting members to post with clarity, intent and intellegence.
I LOVE Monty Python. They absolutely ROCK!, But, it's not advancing the topic to post quotes over and over again. What that does is exactly the OPPOSITE. It retards the thread.

My stance is solid.
You can get all indignant by some "Random" poster insisting you post with class, or you can get the message. The message is positive.

I was not disrespectful in anyway. All I am saying is that the way you guys are handling this is no better than the guys you are arguing with. You are wasting just as much space in the thread. Contact a mod and complain. No need to express your anger in the forum. We all are tired of the nonsense.

Right I'll admit I may have taken it a bit too far too, my initial contact with the OP was meant to have been light hearted but he responded by telling my to go whack off or whatever.

ATS is about denying ignorance right? What's to be gained by blindly acknowledging posts like the OP's? No source, no punctuation and delivered in an all-knowing, holier than thou viewpoint. What did he expect? Its stuff such as this that undermines the credibility of the site.
OP's should be able to defend whatever they have posted in order to make their experience / theory credible. It must be expected that it will come under scrutiny.

Friend, honestly, even when people walk all over you, call you names, make you angry, you should still show composure. That's what makes you better, so I suggest you start thinking over what you could have done here to have avoided being called a troll.

Here's a couple of things right off the top of my head:

A.) Learn to spell. No one will take you seriously if you spell like a twelve year old, short hand like "ur" etc, just makes you look like some bored kid.

B.) Learn to format your text so it's readable. puttingeverything in a small square like this many many many times over again really doesnt help anyone neither does leaving punctuation and capital letters out of the equation.

C.) Keep your head high. Act like a gentleman no matter what. Prove to everyone you're sincere, and quit with lame and childish comebacks like the "spanking off" deal.

D.) Don't mention anything like "I took something that inhances my senses" etc. Makes you either look like 1.) A toking hippy or 2.) a regular junkie. Doesn't help your cause.

If what you're saying is true, then you wouldn't have to defend it, because you would know it, and you'd continue to share it no matter what, right?

Just some helpful hints, and my general thoughts. Take them as you will.
