Aliens wouldnt visit us cause of the distance to travel?

i say PFFFFF to that idea, even if they could travel at speed of light it would take to long, well what if considering what we see of the universe is OLD LIGHT we dont see whats happening in the here and now universe except near by us, so if aliens from one plaent say 10,000 light years away decide to pay a visit to planet Earth what they wouldve seen when they left was a planet with no intelligence on it, so maybe they decide they go an collanise that part of space, now in mean time while they are travelling at light speed in suspended animation units, 10,000 years on Earth pass by and Human civillisation has poped up, now what are aliens meant to do now?

Maybe UFOs can travel alot faster than the speed of light by using light like an airport walking conveyor belt, if u catch my drift.
Just a kooky theory, but if true and it could travel say the speed of thought, u could reach ur point B from point A in the time it takes to think about it, therefor lacking the need for suspended animation.
Perhaps.....Maybe......Um...just a thought
