Actually I believe there are several threads on ATS devoted to that very notion.
Fema coffins, The Fema help both in Katrina and Ike. You wanna know I what I think Fema stands for? (F every man alive) You can take a wild stab at the F.

Anyways that is a bit off topic. Just wanted to say that I think the Fed has many contingency plans to kill massive amounts of the population that disagree with their unconstitutional rule.

He's couldn't be more wrong...we don't need a new constitution...we as a nation need to uphold to our constitution, which we haven't, especially in terms of government. Our constitution has been around for 200 years for a good reason.

I was referring to the fact that capitalism has brought down our once great country, not necessarily that we should adopt a new constitution.
Huh? You mean corporatism, socialism, and growing leftism, has brought this country to a financial ruin.

We have funded a huge welfare state (socialism) warfare state (Militarism) and finally huge bail-outs. (nothing to do with capitalism, this is 100% corporatism) All of this has bankrupted this nation, and send us into hyperinflation.

I guess I see your point. In the end our country is finished either way and the only way possible to fix it at this point is a bloody revolution unfortunately. I am not one for violence but it may be necessary soon if we want to restore the union.

THe more I read and learn I think the American Indians had it right all along. We as Americans live in defiance of nature. We thumb our collective noses at nature and tell it to go F**K itself while we pilage and rape the land, divide it up,sell it, buy it, and destroy it. We are (collectivly ) cruel to animals and have no respect for the natural order of things. I hate to sound like a Hippie but I think they were on to something.
Just a thought.

Anyway, I reserve the right to be wrong and usually am. I see your point, and maybe capitalism isn't to blame but I can gauran -goddamn-tee you that it isn't going to get better untill it gets a whole lot worse.

By no means am I a pessimist. But I don't know, I'm really worried here, during the great depression we had up to 25% unemployment, the depression itself lasted for 16 years because, government interfered in the markets, which is exactly what's happening.

I don't know if we will have a high unemployment rate like we did back then, but it looks like we are going to get something that the folks back in the 30s did not have to face, "inflation" along with unemployment. A double whammy.

The financial crises has more to do with human greed. It's like gambling u may win at the begining, but it will catch u in the end.

People fail to see that most of these investors in the housing market were overseas. It was so profitable at first that they threw everything they had into the investment. Because of the compitition and profits, lending became extremely fexible. Now, it back fire and people want to blame the goverment, when everyone has just as much fault.

Remember, when the Government more specifically the FED lowered interest rates to 1% back in 2002, what did you expect people were going to do, "NOT BORROW"?

The root cause of our MESS is GOVERNMENT, let's not KID OURSELVES.

I agree with everyone else about the U.S. Constitution
No greater document ever concieved imo.

I agree with Chavez about our political system.

Captalism in a nutshell is economic and political Satanism.

I'm not just coming out of left field with that opinion.

Most Satanist will agree with that and most Thinkers if they gave it thought, would too.

What's the point of a constitution, when your elected leaders totally ignore it?

Exactly and this is what people dont understand. Everyone wants to blame just the evil banks which is TRUE BUT the government walks out of this unscathed. That is why I said in my first statement they ALL need to be tried for treason. Ron Paul and maybe a select couple others exempt for being TRUE patriots and trying to warn us of all of this mess.

The warfare welfare state has bankrupted this nation and the FED and its power is the final nail in the coffin. Herbert Hoover got a lot of flack for how he handled the depression but he did at least do this. He tried letting the market handle it at first and if big banking and government wouldnt of forced him to jump in and pass all sorts of bills the depression WOULD NOT have lasted as long as it did.

Yes without a doubt the people of the United States should take advice from this statesman:

Hugo Chavez: Go to hell, # yankees !

People that support Chavez in this board never cease to amaze me, but what really makes me sad is that some of them are american citizens.

Some of the Chavez supporters ought to go live in Venezuela for a while, after a couple of beatings and thefts by the bolivarian urban militias I their admiration for Chavez would be no more.

It is easy to judge from a distance, and sadly judge WRONG!.

He didn't mean that we had to make a new constitution. He meant we need to start over.like the laws passed.

He means we need to take out the unconstitutional laws and reshape the system to what it supposed to be. TO protect the Freedom of Americans.

I believe him. I do think we need to reshape some laws like Taxes your guilty until proven innocent which is wrong.

WE need to make alot of changes in our laws to comply with the constitution.

I also think we need a proportional tax like a fixed rate so the rich will be taxed the same as the poor.

I had a federal tax class and I found out the more money you make you less taxes you owe.

I agree with the president of Ven...

I am on the fence on this one. I agree with what he is saying to a point yet at the same time I hate hearing his ignorant and hypocritical BS statements about my country. Yes we have people in power in this government that need to be taken out back to the wood shed....but not a new Constitution. I will say though, that our Constitution needs to be slimmed down a lot. It has gotten out of hand the constant changing(Amendments) to our Constitution for the benefit of special interest groups as well for Neo-Con terrorist agendas. Notice I called the Neo-Cons terrorist...because that's what they are in my opinion.

Minus a few like Ron Paul but yea I'm mostly with you on that one. But we'd have marshal law before that would happen. Stock up on arms, ammo, and water.

.but this crisis has been created by Washington, for forcing banks to lend to people who can't afford it

I agree 100%. But the government isn't saying this is the reason they are blaming deregulation to cover their asses.

cbass, as far as revolution, I don't ever see it coming. Government is pretty good about keeping us separated and has grown this nation to be dependent upon the government too much. Just look at Katrina and Ike and look how everybody expect the government to do everything for them.
