Hybrid system ?? I think the US and China as thing stand are very close to each other.

Different interpretations of Corporate Communism.

Corruption, slave labor, big brother spying, starving masses, military largess, Politburo elite... I could go on.

Don't get me wrong. I am a great admirer of Prof. Chomsky's work, and consider him one of the intellectual giants of the twentieth century. But, make no mistake, he his the leading ideologue of the "new American Left", like Leo Strauss is the father of neocons, Prof. Chomsky is the father of the neocommies(yes, I invented this one)...

As for his works, he has been predicting the fall of Capitalism since the breakup of the Eastern Block, and before...
What I find objectionable, about his approach, is the fact that he seems to think we, the west, are run by a capitalist economy. I find the west far more socialist, then capitalist...and thus it's recent hiccup. The double system, he seems to like so much, has been in effect since the New Deal. The facts are clear, in my opinion, the few have been working for the many far too long...

He would like to go further, a social system such as in place in Canada, UK and Scandinavia...
Would such a system be acceptable to the "red States", since I think it is, more or less, in place along the northeast and the Pacific States...

Such a system, nationwide, would lead to the breakup of the USA, or worst...
I am not saying this would be wrong, on the contrary, I am just saying that imposing such a failed system in America would be unacceptable to a vast minority of people...
