Does a "Great Filter" Exist? - (Or Why We've Never Seen Any Sign of Alien Life)

I found an interesting article about why we will NEVER make contact with alien life. Obviously its just a theory but its an interesting one:

The Great Filter is the idea that there is some single, almost insurmountably improbable barrier on the path to the stars that explains why we've never seen any sign of alien life.

The 'great filter' causing the 'insurmountable barrier' is called a lack of any irrefutable evidence. Good little article though, I enjoyed it.

You know what, I've been thinking the same thing! I mean, it would certainly explain a lot. Maybe it's like a force shield thing acting as a play pen that keeps us in this little area like when you put kids in a play pen to keep them occupied so they don't go around and cause trouble lol. Hey what if, there really is a Nibiru planet and it IS heading our way but no one can see it because it's being blocked from our view? Wow, that would NOT be good lol. Who knows...

There isn't actually a book yet, but the Great Filter "theory" is so clearly designed to be publisher-ready you can almost see the page numbering
