Could it be that the giant superpower, The USA crumble from within?

A few people that I have had the pleasure of being in their company have speculated that our great country could tear itself apart and crumble, No more toughest kid on the block:

The people I have speculated with and I stress SPECULATED because this is a very far fetched theory. The Roman Empire was never conquered, It was wealthy, It had a great military, and a great ruler, sounds like another country I know..Yes the USA..If we keep this up at the rate we are going then this could happen. What does my ATS family think about this, Is it far fetched or could it really happen?........Please enjoy this topic and chime in with you opinion....

I think that if anything ever causes a collapse of the United States, it will be ourselves. Yes.

I don't think you have to go any farther than good ol ATS to see it happening, right here.

And no I can't spoon feed in the reasons, it's all laid out there too perfectly for me to repeat, and, I'm sickened by it, just sickened.

Silo thanks for the link to the other thead..wow!!!!!..I do not welcome a collapse from within however, I am fully ready and prepared(maybe over prepared) to protect what is mine, The only other thing would be our military turning on us, Thank god for Blackwater if that ever should happen

We are due for a major turn over. Our nation has had more than a few times in our history where there have been large changes in how government has been conducted. There is no doubt that as a nation we are in for some major changes. The easy to obtain high grace crude oil on our planet has seen a peak in production not long ago, as was predicted a long time ago, and that means that the U.S. will have to do some major re-tooling as a nation. A good shake up could result in the people paying more attention to what is going on, and electing some leaders that represent the people once again.

I hope so. With its current leadership, its the most dangerous country in the world. Im not talking about the general American people here, they are just like anyone else in the western world. This is about the leaders of the US.

You have that backwards. The traditional military is what has been being systematically dismantled and replaced by Blackwater, a private strong arm of the Fed.

What kind of new beginning?..What do you think will happen if in fact we crumbled?..How would this country be?..In a state of chaos?..mass militias forming?..So much could go wrong or it could be a blessing in disguise...Tough to even to comprehend

The collapse from within is already here. We keep more of our own people in prison than in any other country in the world, including communist China with their enormous population. We as Americans don't even understand anymore what it means to actually be an America, other than waving a pretty flag, ballgames and burgers, and fireworks on the Fourth.

Let me take a moment to also draw a comparison to Rome, but not the same one that is so often made. Rember that Rome was first a Republic. What we are about to see is the age of Empire, not the death of "Rome" itself, but the death of Republic.

From where I'm sitting, I'd have to agree.. the Banks failing is like cardiac arrest, a hollowed out giant still trashing around.

And what spawns from it is pure Evil I fear.

As a nation, a collapse of the global IC ran economy would be good for the people of the U.S.. We have been robbed by crooked trade treaties and immigration policies that steal from the people of the U.S.. We need to withdraw our armies, and tend to our own business, and let the rest of the world return to killing each other, as they have done throughout their history. The only thing world leadership has done for the U.S. is get us blamed for all the problems in the world.

Well America will fall because A: people make it fall B: people let it fall C: people fall with it. There are plenty of vultures roosting waiting to feed off the carcass of our great country. Sadly the only things making it great are fascist food and pro sports. One keeps you pharmacy laced, the other keeps your brain from working right while wilfully stupid.

America can stop this mess by shutting down the "old" systems and their neurocracies. The bulshaviks in our country who started this mess should be arrested, meaning those on the side of telling the populace to shut up.
