Okay first off let me say, I'm labelling them as UFO's considering they were Unidentified, flying and objects. I'm not sure what they were, if they were of "alien" origin etc.

Firstly I was explaining to my gf in the garden about something I saw the other night, whilst on the phone to her (which I mentioned in another thread here) And we suddenly saw something in the sky.

Now this "object" looked tiny, definitely smaller than a plane looks even at it's highest altitude in the sky, besides even when a plane is high up you can still make out the lights on the wings flashing... This object looked like a star, literally round and white not bright and definitely looked as though it were in the same altitude (So the size said) as the stars... I assumed satellite, but it was moving at quite a speed sort of from North-East to South-West.

Now the second object came just after this one but was MUCH closer, definitely in our atmosphere and moving as though it were a plane but it was extremely bright and looked like the Christmas Star would in a book although not as prominent; I assumed it was a plane this time as sometimes when they're flying "towards" you, they look bright but this was flying sort of 'across' me from South-East to North-West and my gf and I don't recall planes ever having bright lights on their sides... I also watched a plane which was coming in behind this object and waited to see if maybe it was flying the same course so the previous object would have been a plane too but it wasn't...

No before anyone asks I wasn't able to grab a photo but my gf tried w/ her mobile phone to get the first object which was way too far and I didn't even think about saying anything about catching the second.

Now... I know this isn't exactly "Great posting" but I just thought I'd share my experience. Any ideas on what they could poss' have been?

Hey there,

Are you by any chance in England ?

Because earlier this evening I was on my computer in my office (which is upstairs) and something caught my eye ... I looked up, out of the window and saw an object. Your second object sounds similar.

What I saw was very bright white ... with a short tail and it was lower than I would expect a plane to be ... or a shooting star. It was moving NE to SW quite slowly then it just disappeared (lasted about 10secs).

I'm in North Yorkshire by the way, on the edge of the moors.

Funny you should say that Woody, I am in England... But, London nowhere up north.

The object I saw, now come to think of it was quite a decent bit lower than a plane would 'likely' be although not too long after we did see a plane flying EXTREMELY low for London's airspace. - But yeah this object seemed to have a slight 'tail' although I never saw where it went as it dipped behind a building and I couldn't move anywhere out of my garden to get a better view.

Curiouser and curiouser ... the thing I saw dipped before it disappeared too.

Surely can't have been the same thing that we both saw but a good coincidence. I wonder if anyone else has seen anything similar tonight ?

Well, even though there is no photos or anything, I still believe you two. It also is very possible you two could have seen the same thing. Maybe it was at different times, but in the same area. Who knows, maybe it was traveling extremely fast, since one of you said that it disappeared, maybe at light speed?

Just a thought...

Thanks for believing us ... threads like this (without pics) usually get the naysayers flaming in droves (must be a quiet night tonight).

I don't know about the OP but I wouldn't have had time to pick my camera up (it's right on the desk beside me), and focus before it disappeared.

My desk is right in front of the window and I just caught movement outside in my peripheral vision (pure flook really).

I'm guessing the fact that no-one else has stopped by to say they saw something similar means we must be the only ones who saw it/them !!!

SoD you make a good point and it's not impossible that the same thing could be seen by the same people in diff' parts of the country.

Woody - What time exactly did you see your object?

I've been scanning the skies for as long as I can remember, as someone said once on a UFO based show people don't spend enough time looking up at the sky.

These 2 objects are probably the twelth and thirteenth objects I've seen in my life atm (I'm 26 now).

I may write about my other experiences at some point.

Edited to include response to Woody: I dont actually own a camera since my house was broken into a while back and my camera/laptop and some other stuff was stolen and as a student right now I can't afford it lol.

But I think where I was (in the garden) I wouldn't have had time, this thing was moving; not too fast but fast enough for me to have bolt across the ten/twelve feet of Garden to keep track of it.

Hey no problem, I think everyone's stories should be considered somewhat true, especially since two people have stated they saw pretty much the exact same thing. Keep a look out, and have a camera ready, haha. If you do catch anything or even only see anything, let me know.

hmmmm !!! my last reply seems not to have appeared on the thread ... you watch by the time I've posted this one the first will be there too.

I had tried to explain that I can't be precise about the time other than to say it was sometime between 9pm - 10pm.

Sorry to hear about your camera and laptop ... want me to hex'em for ya ?
*joking I'm not that kind of witch*

Strange Woody... My gf just confirmed that we saw the object around 10pm.

Thinking about it now, I remember quite correctly because I remember wanting to get back in to see if "Anonymous" had DDOS'd Foxnews.com as they predicted they would at "5pm EST" which is 10pm our time.

Honestly, I believe you two saw the same thing. I mean, come on, around the same time, same description, same country.

I would be pretty sure that the same thing was seen by both of you.

Well that does seem to be a little more than coincidence I guess !

I wonder why no-one else has reported seeing it on this thread ... there have been many who have checked the thread out without posting ... maybe we're 'special'.

I have seen the International space station a few times, it appears very bright and travels quite quickly in the sky.

You could try looking for future sightings of the ISS, there is a list of future passes set for london here. Try looking tommorow 22nd Sept. from 20:05 to around 20:20, appearing from the Southwest 10 degrees elevation, and moving higher to SSE 30 degrees elevation. Good Luck.

Hey there,

Well I can't speak for the OP but I've seen the ISS a couple of times and what I saw the other night was nothing like it ... it was much to low in the sky for one thing.

This was really bright white with a short tail. I was in my upstairs office and this was more or less eye-level ... passing behind the gap in the two cottages opposite.

I'll take a photograph tomorrow and upload it, to give some kind of perspective.

If it had been higher in the sky I would have assumed it was a 'shooting star' but like I said before this was much too low.

yeah they are observing us and they have been here even before life started on earth. they are a very advanced civilization they observe other planets as well. they actually put a hand into the creation of us humans. our government aren't what they say they are they want to see us fall. our government doesn't have all the answers but they have the alien technology and our economic issues could have been solved in the 40's these people kept the technology secret and instead created weapons of mass destruction & mind control, weather control projects. this electromagnetic energy alien technology they have can solve issues like oil to travel to other planets. but its so powerful the government will never show you that. instead they use it to kill people find info outta people and mind control us humans. search illuminati, New World Order, Nasa blue beam project, Masonic Symbols,Skulls & Bones,Allies of Humanity,Death Towers. this # aint no alien conspiracy this # is real hidden on the back of the us bill underneath the masonic seal. YOU PEOPLE HAVE BEEN LIVING A LIE. WAKE UP THIS # IS RUN BY FAKE CHRISTIANS FAKE POLITICIANS LOOKS AT THEY MANSIONS N LOOK AT THE CONDITIONS YOU LIVE IN THEY TELL YOU TO LISTEN BUT THEY DONT REALLY TELL YOU THEY MISSION.

sounds like a satelite and a helicopter.

helicopters can be really confusing at night. haha

i remember being terrified by a helicopter last year. i live out in the country and apparently one of my neighbors a few miles away had to be care flighted to the hospital, but im out back in this field drinking and talking with my friend and we see this large object floating on slowly over the field and moving toward us.. We freaked out because theres really nothing out there. it was also only like 50 feet in the air and just slowly hovering and wasn't very load untill it was really close. kind of odd. but once it was directly over our heads we realized what it was.

But it looked really unusual and pretty scary.

I've seen the EXACT same thing on three separate occasions up here in Canada. Once in Antigonish NS, once in Moncton NB and once in Calgary AB. It's like an extremely bright, white light that looks like a star, but it's very low, most definitely in the atmosphere, and not the ISS or a satellite. And it is NOT a helicopter or plane. The light remains extremely bright from whatever angle you look at it. I'm not sure what this is, but I've been watching the skies for 15 years and the only thing I can say that I've ever seen that I couldn't explain was this thing.

Hi there Woody, glad I found this thread as I was just about to post something similar, though not referring to the same incident.

I also live on the edge of the NY Moors.
On Thursday (04.12.2008) I was out in the car travelling towards Whitby from Teesside and I could see 2 bright lights in the sky to the South. Now this view was slightly obstructed by the hilly landscape so I didnt see much of them and thought nothing of them.

It wasnt until I got past Whitby and into Sleights that I again noticed the 2 lights, appearing to be in the same part of the sky. Now thinking that I had seen something out of the ordinary I kept track of these objects, eventually losing them when I had got to Kirby Moorside, when the lights appeared to disappear Southwards.

As for the appearance of these lights, they appeared as very white lights, one significantly brighter than the ohter.
I can put my hand on my heart and say it was no plane, definately not stars as I was physically travelling around them as they appeared to be in the same part of the sky, the only other explanation I had was a helicopter but I doubted this as they seemed the same distance and relationship to each other for well over an hour.

There is one more thing worth mentioning though, about halfway through this 'event' a plane (presumably a Jet, however, it was dark so hard to tell - just working on speed) entered into the proximity of these objects and almost immediately flew off and I never saw it again.

I know the area I was driving was right past the RAF Fylingdales base, so a training excercise could be an explaination but I really feel asthough it was something else.
