we all know by now the government took over AIG.. I did not think that this was a good idea, just as I do not think that them taking over Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac was a good idea either...

However, not until I remembered reading an article about insurance companies wanting to install GPS in your car did I realize how much of a bad Idea the government taking over an insurance company was...

heres the link from yahoo
finance.yahoo.com...

So IMO, the government can make a push for this to become mandatory, and then be able to track all of there "AIG customers" with out the need for a warrant, or any intervention from the court, or any probable cause...

any thoughts?

I mostly just lurk on this board, so I hope I am posting in the right place..

Interesting tracking theory.

I like the cell phone that finds you from DNA.
We can clean up any town with that.

GPS are hot items and taken from parked cars, so
if a driver picks up a hot GPS as a replacement
he saves money.

Well everyone needs insurance, looks like the seam hit
the sub prime market.
Insure the mortgage and now collect when it fails.

Its called risk management.

Insurance was good for satellite launches.
Insure the launch, if it fails the company collects due to
inefficiency of some one of a hundred imbeciles that worked on the
project.

That worked once that I know of.
