This is my first thread. I found this series of videos with stumble upon. I think that they were very funny and believe people will enjoy them. I would like even more to hear debate about them, to include correcting calculations, ect. I really hope and have a good idea that you guys will enjoy.

Because it's fun...

And it easier than explaining to them why they are ignorant...

We laugh because (to put it scientifically) its a hypothesis that makes no predictions yet is contradicted by uncountable facts. This is why it doesn't survive in the when exposed to the scientific community.

It's rival makes many predictions which are supported by the facts consistently by not only all of biology but other science too, namely geology. The Theory of Evolution is the backbone of biology. I might also point out that a theory is the highest level of factuality you can get in science, outside of maths, that is why gravity is a theory, Einstein's Relativity is a theory, etc.

This isn't a David v. Goliath relationship, its more like a ferret vs the Hoover Dam.

You know, i thought some one would try to dispute something in the videos. I guess reason wins. I'd really like a young earth creationist to throw out a reply, but i doubt it will happen.

Hold on a sec before all of you go creationist bashing. I am a Christian who doesn't quite believe in evolution or creationism. The reason I don't believe in both is because both do not have enough evidence. Sure, evolution has some fact but those facts keep changing with everyday that goes by. Am I an ignorant? Not at all. I approach things with an open mind with the hopes of understanding it logically. There is just something I don't see with man sharing a common ancestor with an ape.

The evidence is there, I'm surprised you think it isn't.

Watch through them all.

I did not say there is no evidence supporting evolution. I said there is not enough evidence for me to make up my mind on either side. It seems to me there are too many broken links in the chain for us to conclude on anything. Until you guys find the missing links I will be here defending both sides.

What missing links? Is this the kind of thing you're talking about?

The genetic evidence alone is substantial. But ofcourse the fossil record is just as good.

Probably because Man does not yet know how to create life from carbon base material.

Would you entertain the thought that our DNA was created/manipulated at one point (or at the begining) by an intelligent being or race? Nothing connected to any organized religion we know of, but something of an alien nature...

Just a thought to throw out there to you...

Which isn't even a part of evolutionary theory.

I laugh at them because they are funny. In a dangerously ignorant sort of way.

You're getting there, read more from real science, not creationist propaganda links.

Why people laugh at creationists

The other day, at a barbecue, I noticed a large man standing by the rotisserie, scoffing away. He drew attention because it was a Hawaiian-theme party, and this man (I think he was German) had come in Afghan-style pyjamas, completely wrong. The lady I was talking to was offended: not only was the fellow making a pig of himself in public, he was evidently devoid of dress sense and any concept of social obligation.

So she found a permanent marker from somewhere and drew a pretty, elaborate red flower on the back of his long pyjama shirt. The man was so busy eating, he didn't even notice.

Other partygoers did, though. It was a very polite party, so their reactions were quite muted. All the same, the guy could tell something was wrong. His face took on that mystified expression you so often see on creationsts': why, he was clearly asking himself, is everybody looking at me as if I'm wearing a cap and bells?

The reason (of course) was that they could see plainly what was invisible to him - his mark of folly. When people see a fool who doesn't know he's a fool, they laugh.

Creationism, with its ludicrous rationalizations and bibliolatory, is likewise the mark of folly. Everyone see this quite clearly, apart (of course) from creationists.

It's easy and fun for the whole family!

I actually laugh because I hope they'll maybe take a look at the nonsense they're propagating and quit living in the dark ages.

I have to peddal Aron Ra's videos on the Foundational Falsehoods of Creationism once again.

I think they are great.
