It depends upon which group of aliens.

At the top of the list is DEATH METAL anything to help get the hormones going and rise the fear level.

The NewAge Aliens ?? probably don't listen to music they live it

Aliens may possibly strut their stuff to bands like the Foo Fighters, UFO and Hyper sex vortex. On the other hand I have visions of a Grey in a smoking jacket with a pipe, listening to Bach whilst doing the Quantum Sudoku in the Daily Stardrive.

I would say they'd like Bach, or maybe Van Halen, with the mathematical precision of the combinations of frequencies.

Also my girlfriend say they would probably like WhaleSong, or BirdSong, and i could add human plainsong.

lets expand our scope, eh?

They would probably like Explosions in the Sky, Boards of Canada, Portishead, Radiohead, Built to Spill etc. etc.

That is, if they have any taste and aren't the hillbilly philistines of the universe blasting Brittney Spears as they crack open a cheap beer and play chicken with asteroids. In which case, they listen to whatever tripe and unoriginal crap just came off this week's conveyor belt.

Im going to have to say bluegrass seeing that rednecks always say they are visited by aliens. However I would also like to say black metal for some reason. . .

awesome!

if you didn't know some of you that French scientist in the film is based on a real French Ufologist, Jacques Vallée ! He is a really good author and researcher, I have read his book Confrontations which I highly recommend to anyone into Ufology as well as Revelations, and right now I am just starting Passport to Magonia about the link between folkore/fairies and UFOs/aliens. Its fascinating. Ok peace outs. love this video and song hehe

No. Any pseudo-intellectual is going to like Tool and Nine Inch Nails.

[edit on 15-9-2008 by Angry Potato]

its just music you cant tell how smart someone is by what they listen to.
in fact the more intelligent you are the more likely you are to probably like something from -every- genre. and because preference is just that, preference, ie not objective, it has no way of showing intellectualism i.e intelligence...just seems like you wanted to make fun of him thats all. that i do not understand! T_T

You obviously haven't listened to a conversation involving a group of teenaged Tool fans, then. I wasn't even discussing intelligence, and don't give me this "all genres" crap.

Stereotyping much?

You said I wasn't intelligent because I listened to Tool. If that's not what you meant then okay cool, but that is the literal interpretation of what you said.

Anyways, "teenagers" doesn't emcompass every Tool fan, heh. Plenty of 'grown-ups' like that band. Heaven forbid, I am an adult myself.

But hey, if it means anything to you I will grab a Whitesnake cd.

Tool is a musical journey!

All of their music is so far outside the box, there is no box!

Their creativity reflects genius!

I am an adult.......And I like TOOL!

Just think of the stuff on the radio........Copy cat BS that has no hint of intelligence. How many cookie cutter songs are out there? My guess the majoriy of people listening to this BS, are far more likely to have a lower IQ than the average TOOL listener.....

Thanks for supporting the greatest band of our generation!

I think they like Viking death metal such as Amon Amarth, because they talk about their past travels and influences on cultures of the past... oh and Lamb of God.
