Most readers will be aware of so-called "3D printing" techniques, in which solid objects can be constructed automatically from computer models. Researchers in California intend to scale the process up radically, using "contour crafting" concrete extrusion to erect buildings in a matter of hours.

They can actually do it.

Robot machines that can spray houses, or anything else.

I saw one on the telly making a house, and that was a couple of years ago.

That is pretty cool. Doesn't look all that bulky either relative to the structure being built.
All this talk about building on the surface of the moon still sounds like it would be full of holes unless built thick enough to withstand the occasional meteoroid impact:
