i need help with a palm reader...

i am very interested in finding a reliable, good and trustworthy palm reader in my city (Toronto) and was hoping that someone could help me out.

Also i wanted to know people's thought on palm reading and what info they have come across.

I'd usually just blow this off as some whack case, but I was interested palmistry years ago.

What I ran into is basically the same as astrology. So many different means to interpret anything into the way the person wants the reading to go. The palm reader needs to be able to read what the subject wants to hear and then focus more towards that.

I read dozens of books (back in the 70's) and even talked to locals that would perform readings for money and talk to you for even more money.

I find the whole area dubious, but I also find it very fascinating as it has such a historical past. But, this is my opinion. I would encourage you to read and learn and ask questions to people you meet. You need to find the answer you are comfortable with and only you can provide the answer you need.

Your best way might be to find a good metaphysical book store for referrals.

When it comes to tea leaves, palm reading, psychics, aura readers, and tarot, keep in mind that it is as much a business of entertainment as anything. Most professional readers/soothsayers are in it for the money and they tell you what you want to hear. Advertising to find one is a sure fire way to get a $40 fortune cookie.

I have only had one tarot reading and one palm reading in my life. Neither of these was wholely by my choice. A friend asked me to shuffle a deck of tarot to help her practice and ended up reading me. A wicca priestess felt I was so nice that she just had to see how my future panned out and read my palm.

I put little more than a bit of stock in what both have to say, but have not changed my lifestyle because of it.

Go in eyes wide and know that you will get what you pay for in most cases.

If you still want a palm reader, either have it done by a Voodoo or Wicca Priest(ess) or a Gypsy. These are the ones whose art has been passed down for generations and you will get the most pure reading. Again, still be wary of the con.

the con is what i am afraid of

my aunt from Portugal is really good at reading palms, but she knows more about facts from the past and qualities of a person, she learned as a hobby from a friend, but she is strangely very accurate.

i always see these tarot/palm readers advertised but it all looks so commercial to me, i was hoping for a real and true one.

the main reason im looking is because i seem to have strange hand lines compared to everyone i know.

I agree with whereisthetruth.... I would have a "family trained" person preform the reading.

My only advice is to take in a set amount of money. Tell them X amount is all you have to spend. The few I have been to always have extras to sell. They will tell you that your aura is dirty or you need a special $30 prayer candle. This is rubbish and of course they are just fishing for extra money.
Stand firm on the X amount because it will be gone when you leave.
Remember No Extras.

Palm readers and the like are con artists, they use different methods to tell you what you wanna hear. (No offense to your family, I'm talking about
" professionals " ) Cold decking is very common, being vague and making assumptions about your life by the condition of your hands.
Oracle cards are a little more accurate when used properly, they show whats going on in your life, oracle meaning reflection. I never trust anyone that wants cash as tempting as it is. I read Nordic runes but not for money, when I read my friends we meditate first to focus our energies, I've read three babies and a marriage. But I've always had a touch of the sight.
You can read your own present, with runes, cards even meditation.

My brother is a palm reader. He got started by trying to impress a girl who was into that sort of thing.

Anyway, once he got good at it, he really started believing in it because there were too many "coincidences" not to. I was at a convention after hours party where he went around and read palms. It was interesting that just from the palms alone he could pick out all of the writers in the room...for which there was many.

I do think there is something to it, but as with anything there are good and bad people out there. To be honest, there is enough information online that you can learn to read your own palm for free and without worrying about whether or not you are scamming yourself.

well i went to a palm reader in new orleans(which is a city known for black magic and voodoo) and the guy was phenomenal. Not only was he able to describe me accurately, he was also able to describe my dad, brother, and sister, and my boyfriend. he was spot-on with my past and all of my personality traits, fears and desires, etc....but as far as the future he predicted for me, only time will tell. his price was a set price, and he didnt try to get me to give him more money; i tipped him because i was so impressed. he does have a phone line its new...but i don't really understand how that sort of thing would work over the phone. but let me know if you're interested.

you can find him through canpages. He did mine 15 years ago and he was right on the money. He is the best I've ever seen.(but do yourself a favour
and don't go in with a chip on your shoulder) He will ask you to write your name then the reading will start.

sounds good but i need an accurate palm reading, i doubt he could do it over the phone.

although maybe i can send him a scan of my hands...
