Isn't it supposed to be Barack Obama? All i've seen, especially in recent weeks, is this war on the media, oddly enough lead by FOX News, the most notoriously politically corrupted media outlet in the history of human civilization. WOW!

Am I to understand that Sarah Palin gets to accept a nomination for VP, make a couple of pre-determined speeches that seem to deflect any questions about her experience to the experience of Obama, which makes NO sense to any rational voter, and then escape to Alaska where she'll essentially be quarrantined until a time of their choosing? Kidding? Is that the kind of government access our media can look forward to under a McCain Administration?

It's painfully obvious to anyone with a shred of awareness that the big three fatheads, O'Reilly, Limbaugh and (the worst) Sean Hannity take their marching orders from a Republican organization that has given them VIP treatment over the past 8 years. Why wouldn't FOX News want to keep that good thing going? They're all in the same fat-and-sassy club and they've decided that if they accuse ALL of the other news organizations of being "in the tank" for Obama, and just relentlessly accuse regardless of the evidence, they'll turn it into an issue.

So now here we are, just 8 weeks away from deciding who is going to lead this country during perhaps its most turbulent times, but we're too busy asking whether or not it's appropriate for Chris Matthews to get a chill up his spine. He's a weird news guy, people! Consider the source! I love Chris Matthews to death and i rarely miss his show, but i'm not exactly tuning in to see how i should think about what.

Maybe the GOP should start worrying about the issues. You know, the one's Barack Obama is actually talking about? Maybe McCain should stop worrying about how much juice he can squeeze out of his POW experiences which would be much more valuable to me if he weren't so glaringly obvious about using it to further his political career. For shame, McCain!

I think that's about all i've got to say right now, but don't think i've got this nice warm and fuzzy going on 'cause it's just not out of my system. You know we're losing our nation to empty suits with dollar signs in their eyes, right? No? Well... hmmm... at least we know Ugly Betty is coming back! Ugly Betty in '08!

Wait... Isn't her real name America? I think that just may make Ugly Betty MORE qualified to be President than Sarah Palin. And hispanic? This is like a dream come true! She'll shore up the ugly girls named Betty vote for sure!

The Republicans are running against BOTH Obama and the MSM, who are in bed with Obama. MSNBC is so in the tank for Obama that even Ed Rendell said as much at the DNC.

Want proof?

Who do you know more about, Sarah Palin's 17-year old daughter who's in high school or Joe Biden's grown son who is a corporate lobbyist for drug companies>

IMO the experience comparison if I may call it that between Obama and Palin holds no weight because you would expect the VP candidate to possible have less experience and act as a sort of under study to the president while still having more then just a ceremonious role in the White House . In some instances in the work place the more junior members of staff would be capable of filling in a higher up management role but by the same token still have new experiences to go thou and learn from .

By all rights Obama would have made a good VP pick along the lines I have just mentioned . Then again Bush proves that experience doesn't always equate to good decision making. : sigh :
The situation at hand can said to be defying convental wisdom but that just seems to be a part of life .

I love how you rant about Fox news, even though they have the most balanced audience in media. Than turn around and tell us we need to forget about the obvious left wing bias throughout the rest of the media.

Why is it that Fox is a serious issue in your mind, but the dozens of other left wing networks aren't?

I could ask the same question of Obama dn his willing accomplices in the media. Who are they running against? Is it McCain or Palin? The way the media constantly goes after Palin, you would think it was her. They constantly bring up the experience of the VP, while downplaying or out right ignoring the experience of the democrat PRESIDENT.

So I ask again. Who is the media and democrat running against?

of course the media is pro obama what else do you expect?

the current bush administration completely hoodwinked the press on iraq, the governments former press officer came out and basically accused the press of not doing their jobs properly and being complicit in all the deaths in iraq. He said they were too soft in dealing with the government. They danced to the neocon tune in the aftermath of 9/11 and now realise how wrong they were.

how would that make you feel?

most of the media has turned on this administration & the republican party. They will do everything they can to get obama elected. Its payback time.

The the biggest cop out excuse I've ever heard. How did Bush "hoodwink" the media when all he did was continue a mantra that had been in the media for a decade previous? They weren't. They simply went with tat best information they had at the time.

This revisionist history by you people is getting old. Do some research for god's sake.

The thing is, Sarah Palin is a charismatic speaker, and she did take on Big Oil in Alaska. With her, I fear people will tend to forget that John McCain voted with GWB 90% of the time. Mr. McCain really should try to show how he is different than Bush. I think Bush is the real one they are attempting to run against, but neither of them seem to have a clue...Joe Biden doesn't hold a candle to Palin, and Obama still doesn't have an agenda. I am sure Hillary still has a card up her sleeve here. Yet to be seen. This is the weirdest election cycle I have ever seen.

How do you know they have the most balanced audience in the media? This is a ploy straight out of the GOP playbook: if you say it, then it must be true! I happen to watch FOX News quite often. Know thy enemy, right? Maybe i'm not the only one who understands you can't stick your head in the sand, you have to understand your opposition if you're going to beat them.

Again, SHOW ME the left wing bias. Show it to me because frankly I see the McCain camp doing all their talking about Obama, I see Sarah Palin only talking about Obama. Campbell Brown asked a simple question and the McCain camp didn't have an answer that didn't include Obama's name.

Show me his willing accomplices in the media? You can show me MSNBC which I agree with, and I can show you FOX News in McCains corner. That leaves CNN in the middle with what is the most neutral coverage of the campaign. If you don't agree with that, i'd love to hear your specific evidence.

The media isn't running against John McCain or Barack Obama. They're trying to provide information to the public, something McCain's campaign seems very reluctant to provide. Doesn't it worry you that they are already shutting out the media which, like it or not, is our ONLY link to our government?

Um, a study was done, and it was proven the Media Bias? For McCain.

MAJORITY OF OBAMA COVERAGE IS NEGATIVE, AT 67%
MAJORITY OF MCCAIN COVERAGE IS POSITIVE, AT 61%

But I'm sure those evil scientists doing studies and comparing numbers know less then Fox News, who gets memos from the White House telling them what to report and how to report it. And this isn't BS, a Press Secretary for the White House admitted they did this.

Not BS? Why not supply a source?

Here's what the Center for Media and Public Affairs reports:

From the New Hampshire primary on January 8 until Hillary Clinton dropped out on June 7, Obama’s coverage was 62% positive (v. 38% negative) on the broadcast networks; by contrast, McCain’s coverage during this period was only 34% positive (v. 66% negative)

So for the first 6 months of the year, Obama's coverage was 62% positive vs. 34% positive for McCain.

So yes, McCain is running against both Obama and the MSM.

I'm sorry DT you are so wrong on this point... Like miles and miles off.

Fox called the 2000 election, helped tip public opinion on the Iraq war,
helped swift boat kerry, helped misinform the nation during the california energy crisis.

FOX pumped up the PALIN "SCANDALS" and made it an issue... I watched the coverage
ON fox CNN MSNBC.... It all came from FOX -- CNN and MSNBC were busy with the hurricane and the VP announcement and the DNC wrap up...

FOX came along and found the LIBERAL BLOGGERS, and drove the point home.

I agree about MSNBC and CNN at times... BUT I do not see them colluding with eachother... THATS the difference IMO

I wonder if you just watched cspan or local news for a couple weeks

The funny things is, previously they were all rabid Bush supporters, just like their in the tank with Obama now. I use to watch CSPAN just so I wouldn't have to listen to all the pro Bush rhetoric.

Well, operantly there is a law suite against Obama saying that he wasn't even born in America and so he may be kicked out of the race...

I said it before and I'll say it again... DEMOCRACY NO LONGER EXISTS

This is just like the Bush elections...

At the beginning everyone laughed at bush and though, " there is no way that fool is going to get in ... what is he even doing up there" . And as the race progresses there are more attacks on other candidates.... more dropping out for other reasons... etc. ... etc.. until the final stages of the race... and the last person standing is the person that " they " want ( and often the least qualified) to be in office.

Its completely orchestrated. That kind of shady democracy can easily be compared to the democracy that is set up in 3rd world countries by CIA nation building. It's all bull#.

And there you have it. Five labels in one sentence.

Clearly, everyone who is not a Republican is a satanic, child molesting, drug taking, prostitute, criminal, meth-lab-running, polluting, wife-beating, non-Christian, terrorist sympathizer. And Palin is Princess Diana reincarnated and John McCain is Jesus himself.

Did I miss anything?
